Almost forgot about this thread!
I seem to have flying dreams semi-regularly. I no longer seem to have trouble flying (as in spreading my arms and becoming airborne, although it usually involves flapping my arms) like I once did, though.
One recent dream, I was in a hurry to get somewhere, turned down into a set of doors (like at a mall), and after about 50 feet, noticed the hall (or whatever) was pretty much empty. I turned around to head back to the doorway, and suddenly noticed the walls were pale pink with black artsy marks. Weird.
Anyway, I stepped through the doors, and remembered that I was in a hurry to catch a bus. I pondered whether the bus stop was on my side of the street or the other side, then decided, that regardless, I would get there quickest if I flew. So I started flapping my arms and easily started my vertical ascent. There seemed to be the odd person nearby who seemed impressed with this, wondering how I was managing to do this. And that's about all I remember.

And I'm just now recalling that occasionally I have dreams where I'm the passenger on a commercial jetliner, and for whatever reason, the pilot needs to do something wildly improbable (and likely impossible in real life), such as flipping the plane around to fly backwards, in order to quickly execute a change in flight path. Always a little unnerving, but the pilot always manages to pull it off. The aircraft passenger seats are always super-padded with extra straps (apparently thinking ahead).
