This is exactly what Colin Powell did at the United Nations with the WMD speech. I feel this speech destroyed his credibility which is a real shame.

No, he is a stand up guy and there is no shame in that. I only wish he had not resigned. He could have stuck with it. He resigned ToG/quit.... NOT fired. If given the choice and with conviction, I would let the record say that I was terminated. Bush did not need 'yes people' surrounding him. We needed Powell.
