I second that AlanP, I also agree that the fuzion precision blade helps a lot with clean sideburns and under the nose.

I just used the Azor and orange kinexium gel again about 10 mins ago and its awesome :D

Well, after a week of using this I'm afraid I'm giving up.
I read the earlier comments so, despite a rather rough 'first shave' I thought it prudent to try it a few times before delivering my verdict.

It's not for me. I found it didn't shave me as close as the Fusion (which I have been using for about 4 years now) and I had a big problem with the stubble directly below my nose, as others have commented.

I'm sorry then, but I will be going back to my Fusion - mainly for the single-blade trimmer though, I think. I liked the heft of the Azor and the fact that it felt bigger (wider), but it just didn't feel right and I seemed to get 5 o'clock shadow earlier than I used to.

I adore the KoS gels and will be using them forever, but I'm sorry - I won't be changing my Fusion... at least not until the AzorII comes out!! ;)

Azor

Postby ds » Tue Sep 30, 2008 2:00 pm

Have been using my Azor for over a month now and am really pleased with the shave quality. It is definately different to use but fairly easy to get the hang of. My wife keeps on "borrowing it" to shave her legs as she claims it is far better than any ladies razor she has ever used. I do agree that it does not look as technologically advanced as the gillette but I do think that is simply over engineering on gillettes part.
Are there any plans to release a ladies one?

And they say ignorance is bliss, it seems that ignorance is.. sore, red and razor burned...

LEARN to use the razor PROPERLY before you slate it, the technology behind the blades is actually more advanced than the gillete or wilkinson swords blades out at the minute, all these people sayin its a horrible shave... are you shaving with your FEET in the DARK!?

I understand that people have different skin, but end of the day you are still scraping very sharp peice of metal across your face, its all the same.

People are obviously using it once and trying to use it like ther fusion/mach3/quattro.... thing is they are very different to the Azor, it requires a different technique and method of shaving, if you cant grasp that go back to grasping your MASSIVLY over-priced, under-performing excuse for a proper razor

Wow. That's made the razor SO much better. What wonderful advice - I wish you had popped up here before and said all that - it might have saved many cut faces.
You see, it's inconceivable that the people who have written problems here might be intelligent creatures with opposable thumbs, isn't it? Seems like you're the only smart guy here and we should all be terribly grateful for you taking the time to dispense your sage wisdom.

(Actually, you write like someone who isn't quite old enough to shave yet, so I'm taking as much notice of your post as that warrants)

I'd hardly say Mach 3 is expensive / or sensor 3 for that matter. KoS is constantly being compared to a Fusion. That's like comparing a fiesta to a merc. 2 different things!

:D Actually garyB (lol I have a m8 called Gary B), when I wrote that I was responding mainly to the people that left a review to the tone of "utter rubbish, plastic crap" not the people that said that they have tried it and found it not to suit them so they're going to stick with there current razor hence what I said about Slating it.

I still happily maintain that some people are not taking into account that there is a different techinique to the usual gillete/wilkinson sword (just like there is with a cut throat razor) because I tried using my Azor the same as my fuzion power and had a bit of a raw shave.... if you read the little leaflet that it comes with it shows a certain way to hold for shaving and it definately works.

Also my post clearly warranted enough notice from you to make a childishly sarcastic, over-opinionated poor judge of my character and age, which is massively pompus and ignorant to say the least...

Next time before you decide to be an arse and nitpick try and have a point or something contentious to say, then maybe I might see it as relevant, and possibly take it on board for future reference

I would say that the mach3 (at least 10 years old) is expensive in contrast to what you get from KoS.... and sensor3!? thats a good decade-15yr old now isnt it, they should cost pennies not pounds lol :)

Azor

Postby technika1 » Wed Oct 08, 2008 7:17 pm

I have been using this shaver now for over a month, and although its ok its not the best on the market at all plus i really miss the single blade on the reverse of the azor as trying to shave under your nose usually needs a trip to the emergency dept, but i will persevere with the 2 blades remaining but cant see me staying with it.
