Apparently it's caused by sleep apnea when you stop breathing for a bit. It's common with kids, in my deams I had to hold my breath and flap my arms!
I now realize we are here to satisfy and please our women...and externally protect them and make them proud.
Every woman has the right to spend our money and enjoy a wild fling - FACT!

(except ugly ones of course...)

I used to have flying dreams a lot when I was a child. I could somehow "will" myself into the air and get quite high, well above the rooftops. It was always in my local neighbourhood, too. I can't recall whether I ever learned to land but I remember that I didn't always have complete control and I would sometimes swoop down and have to do a whole lot of "willing" to get myself back up.

Apart from that, they were pleasant dreams and they were also rational in the sense that people on the ground would be amazed that I could fly unaided. I know that I often used to wake up laughing at them.

I've had quite a few dreams where I try to fly but I kind of take off then hit the floor. If I had one wish it would be to fly! Must be telling myself in my dreams it's never gonna happen! :x

I love flying dreams. I think they're usually about trying to get away from everything.

My dreams of flying led me to not only learning to scuba dive (underwater flying) but getting my pilot's license as well! No greater feeling in the world!!!

(Sex is a close 2nd...more intense, but rarely lasts as long as a beautiful 3 hour flight at dusk near the ocean)

Re: Flying

Almost forgot about this thread!

I seem to have flying dreams semi-regularly. I no longer seem to have trouble flying (as in spreading my arms and becoming airborne, although it usually involves flapping my arms) like I once did, though.

One recent dream, I was in a hurry to get somewhere, turned down into a set of doors (like at a mall), and after about 50 feet, noticed the hall (or whatever) was pretty much empty. I turned around to head back to the doorway, and suddenly noticed the walls were pale pink with black artsy marks. Weird.

Anyway, I stepped through the doors, and remembered that I was in a hurry to catch a bus. I pondered whether the bus stop was on my side of the street or the other side, then decided, that regardless, I would get there quickest if I flew. So I started flapping my arms and easily started my vertical ascent. There seemed to be the odd person nearby who seemed impressed with this, wondering how I was managing to do this. And that's about all I remember. :P

And I'm just now recalling that occasionally I have dreams where I'm the passenger on a commercial jetliner, and for whatever reason, the pilot needs to do something wildly improbable (and likely impossible in real life), such as flipping the plane around to fly backwards, in order to quickly execute a change in flight path. Always a little unnerving, but the pilot always manages to pull it off. The aircraft passenger seats are always super-padded with extra straps (apparently thinking ahead).

Recently dreamt about being in some rather large airliner, towards the front of the aircraft. It was like there was no cockpit, that the passengers could see out of the front as easily as they could out of the side (the small windows continued around the front).

As happens in some of these dreams, the seats were larger than typical, and quite padded, like there are fixed cushions with a gap the approximate shape of a person. You sit down, lean back and are surrounded on all sides (except the front) by cushions.

There seemed to be a last-minute scramble for seats at the front of the plane. It seemed to be in a climb (not a terribly steep one, but still alarming for some reason).

I briefly saw the plane from and outside perspective, like you'd see in a movie, looking downwards at it from the side. Far, far below it I could see what could best be described as a cloudscape. Or a landscape of unending, unbroken clouds. All I could think of was how unusually high up this particular aircraft was.

It was as though the airplane had reached it's physical climbing limit, and was starting to lurch and shudder and lose lift, the nose threatening to drop abruptly downwards and start a downwards trend. Not a spin or spiral, just hitting the climb limit and irrevocably changing direction downwards.

Now that I've written it down, I can see how this is reflective of my current work situation. Being pushed to the limits and wondering what the tipping point will be where the entire team gets overrun with critical issues.

When I was younger I used to fly a lot in my dreams, it started out not intentional, then I would realise that I was flying. Then I would fly to where I wanted and land quite comfortably, then as I wanted to leave again I couldn't get back into the air...

So i would just kind of hover low off the ground, never getting enough height to go over houses or anything. Then out of the blue it would return and I would have to slow down, coz I was then rising too fast and was scared of falling out of the sky, which inevitably I would because I was scared of it. Luckily I never hit the ground I always woke up before.

Weird. I have the same dream from time to time.

And I've been to Australia once, only the dream experience seems nothing like the actual experience.

The dream has a sense of going realllly far away, to a really nice oceanside resort.
