About connectorchain... when its coming my backside to waistchain it lift my hobblechain when i bow and sit high chair, thatway hobblechain is not visible but if i have must sit lower... normal chair my chains rest in floor and is visible. Also when i come out in car chains showing very well.

I cant grab my connectorchain because its running under my skirt and coming my backside.

So... in public place i dont sit if i dont find high chair... also i can hide my legs under table etc...

It is not very big problem to me... my chains and limits is part of me.

I had never thought of the connector chain coming up the butt instead of hanging down the front. That would certainly solve a few of the problems of ending up with a puddle of steel chain between my feet when I sit down, as would always opting for a high seat. You have been at this for a while, haven't you?

But I'm not sure if my Hubby would like the chain up the back as I expect that it would show through my skirts, given the types of clothing that he likes me to wear. He may have to alter his preferences a bit for this adventure. Of course with the way that I look and the things that I wear, nobody would probably notice anyway.

But I did a bit of an experiment after reading your note. I took a piece of chain and hung it from my waist and practiced sitting down with the chain hanging both in front and in back. Like you said, when I sat with the chain in back none of the connector chain touched the floor. But when the chain was in front about 8 inches laid on the floor.

I still had the chain on my waist hanging in front when I stepped out of the bath tub (the inside of the tub is the only surface that I'm allowed to walk in without shoes. Hubby's rules.). I sat on the edge of the tub and put my shoes on. And when I had my shoes on and was sitting there the connector chain was no longer piled on the floor between my feet! My 8 inch heels were high enough to keep the chain suspended above the tile!

Great! I've been trapped in these ridiculously high heels, hobbling around and trying to keep from falling and breaking my neck for the past three years. I was sort of hoping that if Hubby decided to put ankle chains on me permanently that he would allow me to come back down to Earth and to wear more reasonable shoes. Now he'll have yet another reason to keep me wobbling around on these stilts. He might as well weld these shoes onto my feet and be done with it. I didn't know how much longer I would be mincing around with my head in the clouds but if I get the ankle chains welded onto me, the shoes will probably be permanent as well.

Yes, my back chain show throught skirt if it is really tight but also my corsets lines show too... it is not a big deal for me.

Welded, permanent, steel hi heel shoes sounds like fantasy thing, i ever heard that is really do it, maybe you can take some surgery operation your ankles and make shorter you achillestendon... that force you wear high heel or balletboots/shoes alltime when you walk.
:)
That is much better than welded iron shoes... ironshoes is not very practical solution.

I was just venting off a little bit of my frustrations. Sometimes looking like I do and dressing the way that I dress seems to make everything very difficult. And there are SO many cool looking shoes out there that can't wear because they don't have high enough heels and my Hubby won't let me wear them. Sometimes I just want a change.

And then my Hubby keeps talking about chaining my legs together forever. I know that you have your ankles chained and are comfortable with it on a daily basis and you are an inspiration to me, as are the other folks who've passed information about this topic to me. All of the support that I've received has been very gratifying. But that still doesn't change the fact that it feels like I have a rock in my stomach when I think about never being able to separate my legs again, wear pants again or even be able to step up on a chair to reach something over my head ever again. It seems like just one more thing to make my life more difficult than it already is. I'm just plain scared. And perhaps that's my Hubby's plan. And I'm done whining now.

But I have to tell you that steel shoes actually do exist. They may not be very practical, but they exist. A friend sent me this link last week:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0CCeOFP ... re=related

When I realized that I might be wearing towering shoes a LOT longer than I had hoped, I got frustrated and my comment about having shoes welded onto my feet probably came from the fact that I had recently seen that video and the steel shoes were on my mind. I have a couple of pictures of other models of steel shoes from other manufacturers as well. So they're out there.

Yes, I know it's hard work, but it's much more interesting. I've just come in from work, having spend most of the day with people whose shoes are so sensible they could probably fill in their own tax returns, and men in particular wearing sleeveless v neck pullovers. I kept catching glimpses of myself reflected in the windows with my nose and labret tuds glinting and it made me think again about how this path is much more rewarding, and whether I'd really want to swap places with any of the normaloids. I don't suppose they're any happier than us!

Mind you, I don't know whether I'd relish having my ankles chained together permanently. When read that post my first thought wasn't about climbing up on things, it was that I wouldn't be able to wear my beloved boots (or even try on any more). I wouldn't mind a chain - in fact I've tried this and been surprised at how much one can still do with a little ingeneuity - but I'd like to unclip it when I fancied a change of footwear!

And there's yet another thing that I hadn't thought about if I get my ankles chained. No more boots!!! And like alexagriffiths, I adore wearing boots! In fact, most of my closet floor is littered with them as I have more pairs of boots than I do of regular shoes (or at least as regular as mine get). That just sucks!

I know that my Hubby likes to see me in boots (that's why I have so many pairs) so I'll have to find a way to subtly let him know that if he goes through with this plan to permanently shorten my steps that he will also permanently loose seeing me in the python patterned thigh high platforms that he loves so much. Maybe this could be the angle to use to convince him to just install permanent cuffs instead of permanent cuffs connected by a permanent chain. My feet could still be fettered all the time except when it's time to change my boots.

And alexagriffiths - I love your term "normaloids"! Fashion should be fun, and I've admitted before that I actually enjoy being different, just as you do. And even though some of the things that I've done/had done to me are considered to be extreme, I wouldn't want to change any of it because I enjoy the rewards that I get from being "looked over rather than being overlooked". Of course that doesn't mean that I necessarily enjoyed every second of the process of becoming "me", nor would I have ever had imagined before the fact that some of the changes made to me would ever prove to be enjoyable. But that's how it's turned out. Besides, I doubt I doubt that even the normaloids in your office always enjoy donning their sleeveless v neck pullovers.

When you played with your chained ankles, how long did you leave the chain between your cuffs?

Hi there RingGirl,

I've tried chains of varying lengths. With a chain approximately 18" long I can go up and down stairs, go to the shops, and take a short walk around the local park. It might be a bit of an acrobatic feat to climb on a chair, but I can certainly get up and down our small step ladder. Shorter chains reuire a little more ingeneuity. Wearing ankle cuffs which give me about 3" of movement I have to move my feet together rather like a rabbit. I can still get up the ladder, but I have to hold on to the top and jump from step to step. Similarly with the stairs - I have to jump up them one at a time and come down on my backside. In term of time, I've never done this for very long, only few hours or at most a day or so. It's mostly occurrred in the sense of seeing whether it's possible and having a laugh rather than in the context of a long term intense scene. I should imagine it would be much more difficult with a rigid linkage like a spreader bar, but we haven't tried this yet.

On another occasion I cooked dinner for a group of friends whilst wearing handcuffs. That was surprisingly easy too - you just have to remember to move both of your hands together and it works, somehow.

One thing I'd quite like to do but couldn't justify the expense just now is get some custom boots made with D rings at the enkles for this kind of fun. Just wearing them knowing I could so easily be restrained at my partner's whim would be an interesting thought.

Nice to hear from you - must get off to work and spend time with the normaloids again! I'm in the university sector so there's a certan amount of sartorial emancipation if you choose to push the boundaries but most people don't.

Thanks for the information about your experiences with various length of chain between your ankles. I sincerely hope that my Hubby doesn't go the route of giving me only three inches of chain to play with! THAT would be a bit extreme, even for me. Just getting across the room would take all day as I doubt that I could use your bunny rabbit hopping technique while wearing eight inch high heels. But then again, it's not like my Hubby hasn't done extreme things to me in the past, is it? After all, even just considering to permanently chain one's wife's ankles together "might" be thought of as extreme in some circles!

But we have played with a rigid spreader bar before. In fact, a few years ago my Hubby threatened to have one of THOSE permanently fixed between my legs. And after having one about 3 feet long locked on my ankles for two weeks I'm VERY glad that his mind wandered off into different directions. Of course that was before I was trapped in platform shoes. I don't think that I could even stand while locked in a spreader bar with my current foot wear. But walking (or shuffling, really) with a spreader bar between your legs is a really interesting experience, especially when you have to turn sideways to get through a door way. You should try it some time. All it takes to make one is a piece of an old broom handle with a couple of eye screws in the ends.

Speaking of inexpensive fixes, while custom boots with D rings on the ankles might be expensive, there are a couple of ways to tone down the cost a bit. Go to the pet department of your fav big box store and buy two silver choke chain dog collars. These are the ones where you slip the chain through one of the rings on either end and put it on the dog so that it tightens when the free ring is pulled. Prepare it like you are going to put it on a dog but instead put the loop over your foot and up to your ankle. Now pull your boot on and work it under the loop around your ankle and zip up the boot. Next, tighten the loop around your booted ankle and shift the captured ring of the collar around your ankle until it's on the outside of your leg. Then swing the free end if the chain under your foot and attach the free end loop to the chain on the inside of your ankle with a small padlock. And now you have a steel loop locked to the inside of your ankle just waiting for your boyfriend to connect it to its twin on your other leg!

This set up has a couple of things going for it. First of all, it's cheap. The collars are only a couple of bucks each. (I usually use the 24 inch lengths but that might depend upon what boots you plan to use.) The chain can easily be overlooked as a merely a boot decoration and it also locks the boots onto your fet, trapping you in them until you can get the key. (Public bondage at it's best!) And even if the padlock is noticed, it usually passes as edgy jewelry.

The other route would be to have someone make a leather arrangement like a cowboy spur set up that would fit over your boot around your ankle and under your instep. It could be locked or buckled on (you already know what my choice would be!) and could have your desired D ring attached to that. That shouldn't be too expensive either. Such FUN! Just make sure that your boyfriend has a couple of spare unlocked padlocks and another length of chain dog collar with him when you go out. The keys, well, he can leave them at home.

guest 155a - Thanks for the link to that picture. Doing anything chained up like that would definitely be a challenge.

Thanks for those budget bondage tips. I might well try that idea with the dog choke chains. I already raid the pet shop for accessories like collars and leads anyway, so choke chains to make a stirrup round my feet and ankles would be a good idea. Yes, I’ll try the homemade spreader bar too. I have quite a few spare bits of wood about the house, so I might as well put them to good use. I already have some ankle cuffs with buckles and D rings which I can wear round the outside of most of my boots, which can be used for fun and games and also make a good accessory. But I still fantasise about rings actually built into the boots themselves. I think there’ something fun about going to sensible places with sensible people – like work, parties and so on – with bits of bondage gear concealed about my person. Or maybe even not concealed, so I can watch people trying to guess what it is.

Off to work now, to get my daily dose of normality!

I have worn high heels chained on like this for several years. You can simply have the shoes chained on your feet or you can lock the steel loops from each ankle together like shackles. The system works very well.

Alexa -

As long as you already have the cuffs, another fun thing to do is to get one of the previously discussed dog choke collars and cut it in half. Then put on your boots (black if you want to go in bondage stealth mode, white if you want to make a fashion statement). Next, put a cuff on each ankle with the D ring facing backwards. Take the half collar, loop it under the heel of your boot and then use a small padlock to secure both ends of the collar half to the D ring on the cuff (you may have to cut the collar half a bit shorter to make it tight enough to look right).

So now you are cuffed and have your boots locked on! The non-"normaloids" will look at your feet, know what they're looking at and smile sinisterly at you. The rest of the vanillas will only see some very edgy jewelry and not realize the implications. And if you wear white boots with white cuffs, even the "nons" might miss what you are actually doing!

Everyone - I'm beginning to worry a bit about what my Hubby has in mind for me. You see we, too, have cuffs like Alexa's. And on Friday night my Hubby locked them on me and connected my feet together. The problem is that the connecting chain is only 8 inches long! He wouldn't tell me how long I'll be hobbled like this but he did say that each time I ask to be released or whine about the hobble he will keep me locked like this for an additional week. So I may be taking 10,000 minuscule steps to get from one room to the next for some time! The bad news is that I'm probably pretty much house bound during that time. The good news is that there has been no mention of the "P" word (as in "permanent"). But I can tell you this: Having your ankles locked so closely together REALLY alters one's lifestyle!

Hi there RingGirl,

I see you’re back at the computer even though your feet are fastened together. I wonder how long that’s going to go on for? I hope you’re coping with it. I wonder also if you’ll be expected to go out and get the groceries like that?

I had a partner a few years ago who used to enjoy locking me into my footwear, and my birthdays would see the arrival of shoes with locking ankle straps, usually in platform pump styles, which he seemed to favour. It’s good fun going somewhere where you know wearing high heels will be a challenge and leaving the key at home. Once as part of a community art project I was working with a team of people converting some derelict houses into an art gallery and succeeded in walking across the beams of an upstairs room with no floorboards in Transmuter platform boots (remember them?) which he’d locked on that morning. It would have been a nightmare if I’d fallen through, but it was quite exhilarating at the same time. With some of my boots with solid platforms, like the Demonia “Stack” style, I‘d need a whole choke chain to go under the instep rather than half of one!

Anyway, what have you got on your feet whilst your legs are tied together? Boots? Shoes? Surely you’re not barefoot?

You certainly know your shoes! And you had Tansmuters! I LOVED Transmuters!! I owned a pair that I wore so often that I actually wore them out. They were BEASTLY expensive so I had a shoemaker resole them twice. The third time he said that he couldn't salvage them again and I was heartbroken. Then I received another pair as a gift and went through the cycle again. They were my fist pair of really big shoes and pretty much defined everything that I wore.

Your comment about being barefoot really put some light into an otherwise dreary day! No, I'm not barefoot. In fact, I haven't walked barefoot anyplace in almost three years. One of my Hubby's early rules was that I was to wear platform shoes with heels of at LEAST eight inches at all times. The only time that I can be shoeless is in the shower and in bed. Other than those two places I spend every second of every day (and have done so for three years) tottering around trying to stay upright in a world covered with ankle twisting cracked sidewalks, uneven floors and rock strewn streets. It took quite a while but I eventually learned to survey and be conscious of the positioning of each and every footfall almost automatically as I walk along. I even have a pair of slip-on "stripper shoes" as my bedroom slippers! I would dearly love to curl my toes in a deep shag carpet or feel the cool tiles of the kitchen floor under my feet but that hasn't happened in quite a while.

Consequently I have a closet full of huge footwear. My main source of footwear is Demonia's XTC series of shoes and boots. They don't wear very well but they're relatively inexpensive and I tend to go through them rather frequently. I have other manufacturer's products as well but only wear them for a particular outfit or for a special outing as they're much more expensive (and sometimes higher) than my Demonias. As a matter of fact, since all my beloved boots are currently impossible for me to wear, I'm clomping around in a pair of Demonia Mary-Jane XTC Court Shoes.

And as far as my new ankle wear situation is concerned, I really don't like it much. It seems to take forever to walk from one side of the house to the other and I find that I'm actually having to plan each "excursion" in order to do the most possible as I move through each room. Going up and down stairs is the worst as I barely have enough slack to step either up or down so it's all about concentration and balance, especially being perched up on these heels.

I haven't broached the subject of going to the grocery store yet as I really don't think that I can do it. Hubby makes me take the bus to go anywhere while he's at work so that I "can be on proper display" (his words) and just getting to the bus stop 3 blocks away will probably take the better part of an hour. I suppose the subject will come up when he notices that he's eating baked bean sandwiches on stale bread for a couple of nights in a row.

Conversely, my Hubby seems to be enjoying my shortened gate immensely. It sort of goes like this:

"Get me a sandwich, will you, hun?"

"Sure." Clop-clop-clop-clop-clop-clop-clop-clop-clop-clop-clop-clop. Make the sandwich. Clop-clop-clop- (Well, you get the idea...) "Here's your sandwich."

"It's a little dry. Could you put some mayo on it?"

"Sure." Clop-clop-clop (etc.). Smear on the mayo. Clop-clop-clop (etc. again).

"Thanks. Did you bring me a napkin?"

"I'll get one." Clop-clop-clop (and lots more clopping after that).

So he's having a jolly old time running my butt off while he watches me struggle with his latest addition to my body. I never realized what a luxury it is to just walk normally, even on the stilts that I have to wear. At least he gave me enough slack in this damned chain so that i don't have to go up and down stairs on my bottom side! Wouldn't THAT be fun getting on and off the bus?

As an aside, check out these shoes:
