I don't believe half this thread but I wanted to say,
You guys are immodest if you go topless around anyone but your Husbands.
How could you go naked/topless around kids and family? That is just sick and it is a sin.

And to the mother who "says" she tans topless around her kids. It does not matter if your sons will see sluts on the beach without their tops on, you are to set a example of modesty as a parent.

Modesty seems to be gone....Of course the world has been going naked for years because they are unsaved and do not have Jesus in their hearts.

I think there should be limits. Nudity in and of itself isn't evil, but there must be limitations. Not everybody agrees with that broad sweeping statement, and children brought up with that deep sinking level of nudism, could find themselves in trouble, assuming that is the norm where ever they might travel.

Well, here in the United States this type of thing is totally unacceptable because, as I'm sure you're all aware, it will lead to the downfall of civilization as we know it by turning everyone into sex-crazed maniacs. However, my mother is European so she did it all the time. Unfortunately, out of fear of arrest she kept it confined to our back yard, with the exception of our annual summer vacations in Europe. It hasn't affected me negatively, unless of course you're one of those people who considers not being ashamed of my own body to be a negative effect.

My view of topless (on the beach and ONLY on the beach )- is that it is the norm -
Once one accepts that a topless woman is not an exceptional sight - beyond my reach. The lady describing her son's friend's response shows that once he's passed the shock / sicko horror of such - he ignores it.

The sight of topless woman is not a source of sin in this world - nor the next.


It doesn't leave me in absolute ignorance of what a woman looks like - until my wedding night.

Hi guest, great post as it's a question that I think many mums may have asked themselves.

My wife and I walk about naked in front of our young children but the oldest two boys are nearing their teenage years.

It would seem pretty weird for them if we suddenly started covering up so maybe the same may apply to you hun.

It's about the only place that I can discuss this question as family and friends are quick to judge I'm afraid but my advice is to do whatever feels comfortable for you and you children. If by covering up you feel unhappy and your children ask questions then don't do it and carry on enjoying life as before.

Hmm all interessting posts , I come to the conclusion it depends how you feel comfortable with it beeing nude , or top less in front of your family , or others . are they used to it or will it be first time ?? Is your family conservative , did you raise your boys conservative or open minded in a sexual way ??? One more thing are you living in Europe or north America or somewhere else . North Americans I experienced have a hell of a stress with beeing nude in family , here in Europe its not so much a big deal , more common as far as I experienced .
But as I said , if your boys are not used to it by now , why would you want to be naked in front of them now and not before ??? I assume its not the first time you sunbath , what did you do before ?

I am 34 yr old mom with a 7 and 5 yr old boy.On our summer vacations i have always sunbathed topless. While talking with a friend the other day she thought this was wrong infront of my sons. I really dont see the problem with it, there going to see plenty of bare boobs on the beach anyway so seeing there moms is not going to be a problem.

You are so right, in Italy on the beaches, in south of France, everywhere you go it is topless women, and most of them almost bottomless as well, they will see it all around them. lisa.

I sunbathe topless in the garden and on holiday. Boys do get embaressed at certain ages i suppose. I started sunbathing topless at home 7 years ago and would only do it when alone.
Last year i took my middle son on holiday to Greece to celebrate him leaving school, got the holiday very cheap, and it was topless bathing there and he didnt mind, think he was more interested in others boobs. But two months prior to that i would sunbathe topless at home so i would get a little tan and not go too red when out there. He was embaressed when first saw me like that but better that at home than him moaning on the beach
I see nothgn wrong with it. As said before on the posts suppose it is how the boys and girls are broguth up. My sister has and sill sunbathes nude at home and her so and daughter who are in their near mid 20's do the same as well and have done since they were young.
