Is Michael Ball gay?

I'm a Michel ball fan and have been for many years. Having heard the rumours about Michael and talking to various people in the theatre I'm now almost sure he is gay. I don't care one way or the other, he is still a great performer and singer. If Michael is gay I wish he would admit to it publically and stop trying to fool his fans. On his radio show last Sunday he was going on about one of his first girlfriends. It must be very hard for him to keep up this sort of pretence in poubklic for so long.

Why would he not speak of early girl friends? Many gay people have early experiments sexually. As to fooling the fans, I think only those who want to be, are fooled. And having been a "knowledgeable" fan from the start,(25 years!) I have never heard him actually lie about it. Prevaricate, yes, but never actually lie. There are reasons why he doesn't come right out and say he is gay, but why should he? Do straight personalities have to iterate that they are straight? No, so why should gay ones, if they don't wish to?

Why does it matter to the general public or, particularly, fans? Obviously, if he ever had the opportunity to meet me (I'm a girl!) he would fall head over heels and that would be that....sigh.

What difference does his sexuality make to anyone of us? His voice and talent is what matters to fans. Not to mention THOSE dimples and sparkly eyes.

My only concern would be that IF he is gay, and feels the need to hide the fact, then he is probably quite unhappy in himself. That would be a sad situation for him.

Oh well if it's on Wikipedia then he must be straight lol. He wasn't striahgt in 1991 when in Greenwich Village NYC singing at the Duplex bar for those in the know - certainly not when he came home with me and was a big bottom boy that night for me. Not one of my more enjoyable experiences I have to admit - although good looking, he was fat and flabby even then.
He's a HUGE girl people - now get over it.

Hey peeps.

I subscribe to the theory that we are all bisexual to a greater or lesser degree (some of us very more one way inclined than the other!). Sexuality is fluid, and our soulmates are not always the people we sleep with... All I'm saying is, it's not always as simple as 'gay' or 'straight'. The world, and our feelings, is not black and white. It's full of different colours... We may never know!
