Hi Pam

I had a similar experience outside work with my mini the other day too when it had rained quite a lot. I hate it when people stand around watching as it always makes me very self conscious. I was a bit worried about my skirt riding up too, you know what its like.

I made sure the choke was out but the first few tries mine was just whirring and whining. I did eventually get it started after about 5 or 6 tries but it was chugging a lot and kept threatening to stall which it did as i was half out of the space. LUckily I got going after a couple of goes and it wasnt too bad from then on, but I did keep the choke right out for quite a while to make sure.

I had recently learned to drive and had a brand new BMC Mini. I was driving from Camden Town to Balham. As I turned into Trafalgar Square a car cut across the Ford Zodiac in front of me. He stopped, I didn't. My poor little Mini was a shattered heap. Big Ben struck twelve and a group of drunken revellers cheered. Not my happiest moment.

I had a vw beetle SP in SA, and for security I always took the distributor rotor out, on this occasion I forgot to fit it. Got in and tried to start for about 10 mins, as this car always started right up, I then realised what I had done, haha.

Silly me !

Hi,
My most embarrassing car moment was when I first went out with my boyfriend Mike.I really fancied him and was dressed to kill, short leather skirt, low cut top, leather jacket and brand new 6" ankle strap stiletto sandals to impress. He came to pick me up. When we went back down to his car it had a flat tyre so I suggested we take mine a Mercedes SL55 instead of changing his tyre.I hadn't anticipated driving and my car had been standing a while as I had been away on holiday. I was therefore a bit apprehensive. Mike commented on how sexy I looked and that he liked my sexy shoes. I thought of changing them but we were running late and was flattered by his comments so kept them on!! My car's an auto so I thought it would be O.K. We got in. (I just hoped it would start) I ensured I was comfortable and could operate the pedals in my heels and composed myself. As I put the key in the ignition I could see Mike looking over. This made me nervous. I smiled trying to look confident, turned the key pressing the gas. The engine turned over reluctantly so I pressed the gas pedal more giving every encouragement. This seemed to help as the engine coughed and spluttered trying to start as I held the key over but refused to catch. Deperately I forced the gas pedal hard down to the floor. This worked after a few seconds and the engine started with a big roar!!- a relief. I felt embarrassed as my car a top of the range model was reluctant to start. I now had to drive fast as we were late for our reservation. This made me feel good.I enjoyed the feeling of power under my right foot getting use to my high heels quickly. During dinner my Mike said he too was embarrassed that his car had a flat tyre and that I had to drive but enjoyed being driven especially fast by a "sexy lady". That made me feel much better!! Hi,
I,m not sure if this is embarrassing or funny but probably funny if anything as my boyfriend whom I really fancied is now my fiance!! Last weekend we went out for dinner on Saturday night taking our SL55.(It was mine!!) I was happy to drive as Mike wanted a beer. We had to go a few miles or so mainly on single carriageway roads and kept getting stuck behingd slow moving traffic so there was the odd bit of overtaking which was fun for which I had to use the kickdown. Naturally, I was wearing a very high pair of heels to look sexy and attractive. With only a few miles to go I again got stuck behind slow traffic, a gap arose and I floored the accelerator pedal hard. I felt my heel snap. I kept going and when we arrived I told Mike who thought it was hilarious. I now had to hobble into the restaurant almost on one leg while Mike held my arm. I then at the end of the evening had to drive home in stocking feet, He he, Denise XX

My husband was coming home after a two-week business trip. You know what I was thinking about and it wasn't the car. I wanted to surprise him, so I decided to take his car, the 911. I started to back it out of our garage and I was so anxious that I forgot to open the garage door. Then I hear this crashing sound. It was the worst moment of my life.
