There are two ages when boys feel uncomfortable seeing their mothers naked - age of 5 and age of 15. No one really know why exactly at these ages, but it is a fact.

I also experienced it. When my son turned 15, he suddenly asked me not to be topless on the beach. After 2 years I asked him about taking off my swimsuit top again, but he said it is ok, no problem with it.

if you are OK with your boys being on the beach seeing all the other topless women (I assume this is Europe, not the USA we are discussing) - then they will not see your toplessness as anything different. and the message is "no big deal"
In fact, you covering your top up, but OK with them seeing others topless, may be a mixed message.

I am a 46 year old mum of three boys 12 17 21
I sunbathe topless in the garden and on holiday. Boys do get embaressed at certain ages i suppose. I started sunbathing topless at home 7 years ago and would only do it when alone.
Last year i took my middle son on holiday to Greece to celebrate him leaving school, got the holiday very cheap, and it was topless bathing there and he didnt mind, think he was more interested in others boobs. But two months prior to that i would sunbathe topless at home so i would get a little tan and not go too red when out there. He was embaressed when first saw me like that but better that at home than him moaning on the beach
I see nothgn wrong with it. As said before on the posts suppose it is how the boys and girls are broguth up. My sister has and sill sunbathes nude at home and her so and daughter who are in their near mid 20's do the same as well and have done since they were young.

My mum used to sunbath topless and sometimes completely nude, at home and on holiday. I must admit I loved it, and used to get very aroused, probably from about 1o or 11 onwards.
