It's a Sunday, and as usual on a Sunday I've done more PMs to different people than posts. I wonder why that always happens...?
Anyway, I was wondering the other day as I was making my way to the concrete cow town about signposts. Now I hate a grubby windscreen, and as it was wet all the sludgy salt stuff they were chucking about on the road seemed to end up on my now off-black car, and also on some signs...
Is there some service where they go around cleaning signs or are they made of some special material that makes all the crap wash off in the rain... perhaps all the signs are really dirty already and if someone cleaned 'em we'd all be dazzled by their sudden sparkly information.
There's too bloomin many of them in some places I know that. In the few miles I do to work there's over a hundred of them I suppose. I mean, I'm hardly likely to forget what the speed limit is after only thirty feet or so. One tiny country road I go along in the morning has nothing but fields either side... yet it starts off at thirty, changes to national limit half way through then goes back to thirty again after about fifty yards when it comes to a main road. WTF point is that, apart from the fact it crosses a town council boundary. Not that anyone takes any notice of this I see, it's full speed all the way.
Ahh, and avi 40-34 is a sensible one... unlike 32 which never did see any action due to looking like it had chickenpox in small size. They were supposed to be little stars.
Fk knows what this was supposed to be but it's colourful and easy.
Where is 33... hmmm, one of life's little mysteries...
