Hi, i have been tensed about my belly for the past 3 years as i had the same problem. Before, my tummy was 20 inches but then it was 30!! Everyone called me a model and it was so depressing when every single one of them then said, "aww, you've lost it, you are over eating" or "are you pregnant"...many even said congratulations to me!!! When i looked into it, i found few problems as well as some mistakes that i was overlooked...1)before you start your belly exercises, go for cardio! use treadmill for a month or two with balanced diet and once u see that your stomach is thinner than b4 then start abdominal exercises, Reason: if ur stomach is fat and u do abdominal exercises, it tends to build your abs under the fat! which will make it look bigger! 2)once you start abdominal exercises, do it on alternative days...give your stomach muscles time (a day off) to know whats happening and which shape to get in...DONT DO IT EVERY DAY...3 times a week is the best. 3)get yourself tested! your stomach might be producing alot of gases or not digesting food properly. 4)having bigger tummies a week b4 periods is nothing to worry because body produces water, just walk alot. 5)drink lots of water but luckwarm and after every 1 hour, NEVER drink 2 glasses one after the other, that makes it a water-belly.
P.S: eat less and healthy, alot of cardio exercies and going to bathroom everyday!
My waistline is 20 again and i am happy as hell. Please remember that your belly wont grow thin over a night, it will take some time but it WILL GROW THIN!!! give it the time it needs...motivation and patience, is the key to a flatter tummy...goodluck to all

My stomach swells up
Question

My stomach swells up as the day goes on. I have never had a flat stomach, but always a little `pot-belly'.

It's fine until lunchtime, but after I've had my lunch (of sandwiches and fruit) my stomach swells up uncomfortably.

By the end of the evening I look about four months pregnant and my stomach feels tender to touch.
Answer

You are suffering from irritable bowel syndrome – a classical cause of such symptoms in young women (and men) although it can affect all ages.

Up to one in five of the general population is said to suffer from this at some time so you can see just how common it is, and although the exact cause remains unclear.

There is no doubt it is made worse by stress, irregular eating habits, some foods (these vary from individual to individual) and caffeine.

Natural treatments include aloe vera andpeppermint oil to reduce the sensitivity of the bowel lining and prevent the bowels going into spasm – the cause of the symptoms.

These include bloating through the day (as the bowels trap wind), alternating constipation and diarrhoea, abdominal pain and occasionally indigestion.

Make sure you are drinking lots of water each day and increase your fibre intake.

Yours sincerely

"One of the most common weight lifting repetition exercises is the Squat. The Squat, which can be done with Free Weights or Machines, is one of the best weight lifting exercises there is to build lower body and leg strength. The squat is a weight lifting exercise primarily targeting the quadriceps (thigh muscles) and the glutes. (Rear end). But when done correctly it also works out the hamstrings, the calves, and the lower back" i read this on http://www.blog.trening-brzucha.pl

pregnant looking stomach

Postby lenor » Fri Jan 07, 2011 11:45 am

Hi wow I thought this only happened to me! Im 5'5 about 123 and im 17, but ive nevver had this stomach problem until about may of last year i started being constipated each week. This went on for about a month or so. I took so many different laxatives and tried to change my eating habits. But after that my stomach has never been the same. When I eat its embarrassing! and very uncomfortable :( I don't know if my metabolism slowed down or what, but i eat a little and im 3 months pregnant! ughh Im average size but have gained some weight on my legs butt and for the first time my sides. So now i just where bigger shirts to hide it, but its aggravating and I hate going out! I too tried not eating all day until I went out to not feel so nasty looking. But that makes it worse. So now I just eat like I use to but I have been drinking more water. And Ive started exercising each day, but it feels the same. I know it will take some time but I just hope its from gaining weight and not serious :/ Thanks for all the tips!!

I have suffered with the same problems for 9 months. I have been to the docs a few times and they have said I have IBS... I dont believe I have this??
I have been cutting out wheat and pasta.. seemed to help. Also taking probiotics. was ok for a week or so, but back to normal today.. uncomfortable bloating.. just when I thought I had cracked it!!!
So nice to hear I;m not the only one.

Re: Bloated stomach

Postby Mayra Squarepants » Mon Jun 27, 2011 4:56 am

I've had the same problem since i was 13 turning 14 now i'm 15 almost turning 16 in 1 month, I've gone to the doctor she tells me i might be lactose intolerent(alergic to milk products) but i say that might be the reason for why i'm always so bloated but nah i get bloated with every food i eat even when i dont eat i'm still somewhat bloated from the food i've ate from the day before.I remember when i had a flat stomach but now i've been living with this problem for almost 2 years! i sometimes do get depressed because i sometimes can't wear some shirts because my stomach varies from very bloated to somewhat little bloated to really bloated and i'm not exaggerating it does get very very! bloated i've drinken tea's like green tea and have tried lot's of laxantive like chocolate laxantives to pill laxantives and have also tooken gas pills.i've gone to the hospital and the doctor done x-rays on my stomach to see whats up and he just told me i haven't been doing much bowl movement and there's still some bowl movement kept in my idk stomach thing i have there, but yeah he prescribe me some laxantive pills for women that were pink and some stuff to put in my drink that was laxantive too. That didnt work i went to the bathroom i had bowl movements during the time taking that stuff for 2 weeks, but i still am feeling bloated, but i got to admit i dont go to the bathroom that much either like a person should go thats why i take laxantives to see if i get a flatter stomach but no then after i drink something my stomach gets really bloated and it sucks, so this lady told me that i might have a unhealthy colon which means that i havent been eating right and healthy i've been eating junk food and that i should be drinking lots of water, but i do drink lots of water and after meals i drink tea so idk so i just recently bought a colon cleanser bottle that has 56 capsuls it's called Acai Berry Cleanse and supposobly i see results in 14 days it increases regularity and less bloating and helps with a cleaner digestive tract and gets rid of axcess matter, but i've been taking 2 pills prior to breakfast and two more pills before bed time and i've notice that my stomach hasn't been hurting like it use to when i use to eat my stomach would get bloated and hurt a lot and i wouldn't handle my big stomach cuz it was bloated but now so far it's my 4th day taking these pills and my stomach gets bloated but not as much as it use to and it doesn't hurt.so i recommend you taking colon cleanser pills or just go to the doctor but sometimes doctors don't help much like my doctor, so what i'm planning to do is take the pills i'm taking till there all gone and see if they actually help with my bloated stomach and that is kept this problem away permenant.i really hope my problem goes away eventually but if the colon cleanser pills don't work then i will have to go with a nother doctor and or another hospital because this is getting very serious and i'm suppose to be living it up cuz i'm a teen! i shouldnt be having this problem, so wish you the best because i feel you and i understand how you must feel always having a bloated stomach and being so insecure like i do..but let me know how it goes and if anyone have this same problem i've tried everything but if anyone have more suggestions for me to try contact me please do so here's my e mail [email protected] Hope this helps you(:

I'm quite skinny but my stomach tends to bloat. I get rid of it with a colonic every coouple of months or I do it myself with enemas. They make my stomach flat but it starts to bloat again after a week or two.

A lot of these descriptions do sound a bit IBS to be honest. You can get mebeverine over the counter, which may help here.

Obviously, do seek help if it's not getting better :)
I don't visit this place any more.

its funny, I should read this, as I have just been discussing this with my next door neighbour. She has IBS Irritable Bowel Syndrome. She bloats to the point where she looks pregnant and she was asking about my best friend who has chrons disease. I wouldn't worry to much about this, as the time of the month can do things like this…..

From my personal experience with my best friend, I would suggest a trip to the doctors with mum to dices IBS and the possibility of cealiacs which is an intolerance to wheat/gulten. Especially is you feel tired easily.
