Yes, good choice. I never wear a bra anyway but I have two of those dresses and I also bought the matching <A HREF='http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/catalog/default.php/cPath/23_60' target='_blank'>gstrings</A> which I wear with the dress unless it is a very private party!

This dress is similar to the dress I will be wearing!

I always say next year I'll wear something more colorful but I always go back to a black dress. It always looks good and it's so easy to find makeup and shoes to go with it.

Your date has the right idea. Of course, pantyhose are a must for new years. Panties, if worn, should be over the hose so they show up better.

Not that I wouldn't wear something like that, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be flattering on me. Plus I'd probably trip over the long sheer part.
