right, i'v tired everything to loose weight, exercising & dieting etc but nothing ever works :(
i always skip breakfast, but apparently thats the thing that makes you put on weight?
most of the girls in my school are thin & i just want to be like that, it might sound stupid but i really don;t like my body, im really self confident & it affects like my day to day life, i hate going swimming because im that un-confident, my friends say that my figures good, but i litreally don't like it. i really want some tips on how to loose weight fast. add me on [email protected] , neeed tips well fast :( thanks x

Approximatley 65% of women are uncomfortable with their body shape and size, You are not alone but skipping breakfast and skipping meals is not the solution. Why don't you try having a larger breakfast and a smaller lunch and dinner and regular snacks inbetween like a banana. Eating little and often will ensure that ur metabolism is maintained at a faster rate, the worst thing you can do is to skip meals as this will make your body believe that it needs to store fat as it's not sure where it's next meals coming from.

All those people that believe that its 'sexy' or 'attractive' or 'fashionable' or 'cool' to be anorexic are FOOLS. Like other people have stated it's a mental disorder and people shouldn't be playing around with their bodies like that. It's ok to want to loose weight as most women want to, but wanting to be anorexic is ridiculous. Most people don't actually find 'skinny' attractive, te truth be known if there is somebody that you find appealing and potential partner material it's more than likely that they wouldn't be sexual attracted to a collection of bones.

Anorexic people are not happy people!!!!!

I am 13 years old, 5 foot 5 and weigh 8 stone 9 and i eat healthily and exercise a lot. The amount i weigh is average for someone of my height and although i occasionally look at myself and feel fat, all i have to do is think about all the things i would miss out on if i did any sort of diet and i feel ok about my weight. Anyone who tells you that you need to lose weight to be happy or accepted is stupid and you should not be friends with them, if they tell you that they are either idiots or they are jealous. I have a friend who eats healthily and is still really skinny and everyone calls her anorexic but she is not, people call me fat but i am the normal weight and so it just proves that no matter what size you are someone will always try to make you feel bad about yourself. So one word of advice DON'T LET THEM!!! Love yourself and feel proud of your body and if people see you are not bothered by their comments they will give up. :D

i have been trying to put weight on all my life, for as long as i can remember... i eat and eat but nothing puts the pounds on!!!
every day i got called names becoz of my weight when i was younger, not nice :( .... why would you want to be stick thin??? i hated it. i've just started putting on some weight with the help of these drinks ive started drinking and i feel great, i've got boobs and a bum :D :D :D
Please just be happy with what you have... no1 is really ever happy with what size they are, they always want to be different.
im just happy to have put some weight on and never want to be stick thin again. it dosnt look nice, it effects your health and also if you like the boys then i'm sure they would say they rather girls with a little curves.
please take it from me, i am now 30.. dont try to lose weight, you wont be happy... you'll lose your boobs bum and look i'll!! :)

alright look, i just thought i'd post some coherent thoughts to the young girls who've been lurking this thread.
anorexia isn't a fad diet. it's not something you can be one day, and grow out of the next. it's a mental illness, which i and thousands of others suffer from. note the key word there - suffer.

saying things like 'i am desperate to be anorexic'; i DO sypmathize with you, but for goddsake, you're thirteen! you should be running around with your friends, not falling into depression. that said, if you really do have those feelings you wouldn't be posting it on a forum. anorexia is a disease of the mind, and it's horrible; your mind is like a prison, and it seems like there's no escape. and we deny feverently that we have this disease, but we can see the growing evidance of it in our collarbones, ribs and thighs.

for me anyway, i know this'll probably affect me for the rest of my life; it comes and goes in stages of several years, but i want more than anything to be better. so please, don't go down that road.

So, what can you say about a topic as sensitive as this one. All you girls that want to be anorexic you need to think hard about what you are considering. I understand anorexia, my sister had it and honestly it is the most painful experience to watch someone you care about try to destroy themselves. Anorexia is not only about insecurities it's also very much a control thing. Like when your life seems really screwed up and out of control you can get all of that control back by focusing on weight loss.
But it's not what's best. Of course anorexia is a mental illness, you could almost say people are born with it as only time will tell when the sufferer decides to put the plan into action.
You need to do things more constructive, something that inspires you instead of giving up, and if you can't, find some help because the fact is there are plenty of people who can an will help you.
Learn to love yourself too, if you don't see a purpose in your life someone will, don't give into to this illness.
Enjoy the life you've got, things will always brighten up. Really.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it hurts SO much more than when you finally feel like you've got your life back, only to be told that you'll never be able to have babies with your brand-spanking new husband because of all the stress you have previously put your body through.

Im 15, 5ft 9 And weigh 8.5 Stone.
People say that im skinny and that i should be a model :S but when they say that, I can't help but think that they are lieing and just saying it to be nice..? I can't help but think how im not this skinny person everyone says i am. And it also makes me think that people are not being honest with me ... :/

or try exercising more, im very athletic which is also why im slim.
going for a run or playing a sport once a week will help over time.

you're only 14, you've got plenty of time to change the way you look if you're that unhappy. x
I'm 12 years old and i have anorexia. I think your advice is very good i have a eating route in place but i never stick to it i cant belive what i have done to my body but i think its down to stress. my parents just recently split up and because im the youngest it's had the hardest effect on me i just wanted to say your advice is very supportive thank you. x
