An enjoyable day with happy car chaos all round. No-one ever gets things done on time, and we're the worst... 8)

"What's the timeplan for these components?" says some hopeful car maker engineering dept...
"Sooner than pronto and everything will be as you want" says this engineering dept.

"Where's our F****** parts, we needed them week 35 it's now week 46 you bunch of useless bastards... we need parts for prototype, we don't care if they're wrong... bwaaaaaaa send them now *spit dummy*!!"
"Heh, here you are then... oh, it'll cost you extra now though"

Oh the mirth, how you will enjoy poncing about in your new car knowing everything around you was made in a similar careful and professional manner all down the supply chain to the tiniest bits... if you're lucky.

Toot toot...

Ahh, the joys of no telly... and if anyone says I cheated at draughts then they must be a lying omnipotent entity foreign geezer...

I also see that game of internet pass the parcel caught on well, I do believe that parcel had about fourteen thousand wrappings on it though...

Heh, I did look in earlier this eve but I had little to say...

Anyway, trip to see old forum regular (not this site... I really can't be arsed with timewasting nutjobs now :hand: ).

So, we've all had a bit of a chortle, a couple of us had too much sherry and I've touched things owned by Pink Floyd and seen where one of 'em lived... a mention of Van der Graaf Generator was not met with some condescending bollox comment and I have a new window sticker for my car. 8)

Way too foggy on the way home, amusingly set sat-nav (not mine, I use maps) to Swedish to make the journey interesting... finding the M11 closed for the night possibly didn't help there though.

A jolly good night... too tired for cocoa, too tired for jiggy jiggy, too tired to type.

Ping pong balls... how easy are they.

Anyway, before I perish from lack of kip I shall post this & wander off...

This week apart from mooching along to the happy facility where car parts of distinction are made I am also being dragged along to the National Gallery to see this da Vinci exhibition that's all the rage...
Image
I have to say I've seen some of them already in various places/countries but hey ho, one can never look too much at other paintings. As opposed to one's own paintings which must be removed or I will burn them.

There was something else I was going to waffle on about but I've forgotten now and I can't be arsed. The joys of being A- older B- female.
I'll probably remember at about six this morning I guess...

Nothing to say as I've been busy...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccaPnzL7ecw

Heh, that was a jolly good gig the other week... have some light music to while away the minutes until I reappear somewhere on the interwebs to waffle on in an authoritative fashion about Peruvian alien remains and "discover" real and completely unadulterated photos of McD restaurants found with Google Mars.

It's a tough life but someone's got to do it... Image

If it wasn't for the funny people on-line the web would be really boring... and full of wingnuts.

Today I went to the shop on the way home, not that exciting you may think but no... this is the world of NOTA where amusing things happen. Now, I'm happily perusing the currants & raisins when some geezer walks past behind me. I can sniff and know it's the mirthmeister Q but I pretend I've not noticed, he thinks he's got away with me not noticing and lurks at the end of the next isle in order to surprise me but ah-ha, I had seen his reflection in the hot food cabinet & sneaked off down the other end.

I turn the corner just in time to see him wave a French loaf in a extravagant Daft Vader styleeee at some not very happy lady that had appeared. Ahh, you had to be there I guess. Comedy classic moment it was. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

It's amazing where that boy will lurk... why anyone might have even been looked upon by the omnipotent one himself from behind a newspaper or something. Best not to be up to anything too furtive looking, just in case.

I wonder how much alcohol I can get into those cakes before Christmas.

That's the NOTA weighty thought for the day really, nothing much else happened to disturb the world of Nowhereshire.

Hi there... :)

I'm sleeping fine as I usually do, with a little afternoon nap thrown in sometimes too.

Hope you're doing well...?

That's one hell of a long time to be working that puppet... :dummy:
(joke for the Q to chortle at)

Anyway, today... well yesterday morning anyway I went to an auction for a mate... it was quite exciting doing the phone thing. I believe all those auction progs on the telly I have seen now & then have rubbed off. Usually I go to buy furniture and the like at these things but today was bigger stuff, I'm glad it's not my money. I had to make sure I wasn't going to be lumbered with the bill though. :o

I've just been reminded it's next Saturday I'm going to that party not this Saturday (today in fact). Thank F*** for that, we've eaten enough for at least six people and I've only just made it upstairs... I can't squeeze into one of my brocade & lace old styleeee dresses right now without surgery or a huuuugemongous poo. :rotflmao:

It's taken about half an hour or more to write this waffle due to stuff going on here at Castle NOTA and the fact that the S key on this netbook needs extra jabbing to work.

Happy events this week include the cheap & cheerful fixing of the campercar headlamp and the inclusion of one of my stories on an e-book of work from another forum. It's all go here... 8)

Time to put some dabs on my bit of quilt...

A breakfast at midday means not hungry at dinner time... but now I want some nibbles. Ahh well, I'll have a proper brekkie in the morning.

Exciting times today, only if you like seeing lots of firewood that is. I did take a pic of the wood-full campercar but it's still on phone and I can't be arsed. Suffice to say I will be warm for quite a while. 8)

Been having a good old banter about the news that Stonehenge has some older meaning according to those types that like poking around in the ground. Alas I may have inadvertently spread the rumour that it was an cosmic alignment system for tuning into BBC Alien instead...

A quiet time here, which is good as it's soon into Christmas busy stuff and parties & food. I don't mind the food but I have a limited amount of "party time" before I want to go home... humbug styleeee.

Well, you... yes you!! Knocking about on that dodgy site that has sneakily e-mailed everyone in your address book, look at what you're doing for goodness sake. My IQ is way more than that anyway... 8)

Nothing much to say really... go to work, do stuff, come home, cook stuff, write stuff, talk stuff, eat stuff... occasional funny stuff.
A whole lot of stuff going on but not that interesting I'd imagine.

Stuffing on the other hand is quite interesting.

But hey, I would carry on but it appears to be bed time. :bagpuss:

Re: NOTA'S Sleep Thread

Ahh, the end of November and indeed the end of Movember. I was discussing with the few at work this morning that had made a 'tash attempt about their new face furniture. None of them seemed that keen to keep it... neither did any of them notice I had made a small and ginger effort myself, which I have to say has now been dealt with.
I thought it would be a bit more impressive tbh but it was crap... :(

Talking of which one of the more vain chaps turned up in my office at the time, dabbing at his eyes like he'd been blubbing...

"Don't cry" say the few of us that were sitting about in there.
"I've got moisturiser in my eye" says Mr Poncey...

<insert howls of hilarious piss taking giggles here>

Top tip for appearing less of a girly twit... the next time someone asks why your eyes are watering say you've just rescued some puppies from a burning building or going for the world record for sticking sharp sticks in your eyes... not sodding moisturiser. :hand: :rotflmao:

These are the people I work with. We are developing bits of your new cars, be afraid...

Not good things today-

Leaves in pond
Broken nail
No bubble bath
Weird sore throat

Good things today-

Hugs
Clean fluffy jumper
The Legendary Pink Dots Third in line fave band after VdGG and Cardiacs.
Dog not chewed slippers
Sore throat making voice "very cute" apparently

Mega windy out, time to snuggle under duvet.
