Well - it's not a Holden (Holden were building car bodies at this time, but not manufacturing cars - and at the time this car was built, they weren't part of GM either) - does anyone have any comments?

Hi folks,

I'm thinking of reviving this thread,

would this be a good place for motoring stories????

What would YOU like to see here?? have we lost anything on the other thread that we could bring back here??

all opinions welcome!

Hi Gerald, Yes I am still here, there's not been much activity lately but I have a feeling it may hot up again when the winter finally bites! My little Chamois is still going well, it's such a cute little car, I love it !

Hello Gerald, my Chamois is a 1965, I had a few problems last winter getting used to the car, It took a while for me to know how much choke to give, but once we got used to each other we were fine!
It was very cold this morning, frosty and icy, but the car behaved really well so I was pleased! :D

Looks like I didn't get around to identifying it for you. It's an Australian Six (hence my hint "it's Australian"), made in Sydney from 1919 until the late 1920s (production virtually ceased in 1924 but a small number continued to be made up until 1929) - as the advertising slogan said, 'Made in Australia, by Australians, for Australia'. Quite impressive and large cars - very solidly built, even by the standards of the day. There's one in a museum in Sydney - the only one I have seen, although there are a few other survivors.
