Ahh, a happy four days off work... full of good things and happy idle stuff. Three mornings at work and then I'll do it all again. :D

I would waffle on here at length about this & that but it's getting towards kip time and I've been busy chatting elsewhere... that's what happens when you're faced with a load of irrelevant tat about showing your knobs and shagging siblings. Really, I can't drag people here once they see puerile crap like that.

When I wake up I may still have a roof and some fencing outside... sodding wind.

Now then, it's about time for another amusing pic.

Chortle...

It's a shame, it's like three forums crudely welded together. If this was a car you'd not touch it with a barge pole.

Heh, there does seem to be a ginger Christmas viking hiding in that pic... can't think who that could be...

It's from a couple of years ago, just another normal day with an amusing hat.

And, just another normal day coming this week when intrepid NOTA winkles out another wingnut/potential human from behind their keyboard and drags them into the real world. All jolly good fun. One of my favourite friend finding hobbies, thankfully this one is more likely to be normal due to the site we post on...

Heh, there are worse things to be doing I guess... like redecorating a flooded kitchen (*cough* chortle, oops Q *cough*).

Nothing else of any great importance happened today, I lurked at work... where I might add they had dug out the annoying Christmas tree yet again and put it outside my office wall. All morning I had to listen to the tinkly ringtone style array of seasonal "tunes" which drifted through the sturdy plasterboard.

Bollox, that tree is moving elsewhere pronto. It must be like working in some crappy shop where cheesy musak is on the go all day...

It's the return of the office bongos tomorrow I think.

My van tree is doing well. It doesn't drain the battery too much when I leave it on overnight so everyone can enjoy the pretty lights.

Excellent news... I bet it doesn't play Jingle Bells and We Wish You A Merry Christmas constantly though.

Ahh, I feel an earlyish night is due. :wiggly:

Had venison sausages earlier, all the way from my auntie's farm in France, nom nom. :D

Not a lot else to say really, an amusing day in some ways.
Last day at work tomorrow until next Tues, doing some interviews for quite a decent job... if I wasn't doing my job I'd fancy it, though it's not that technical a post really.
The annoying tree is now down in reception, the only person that goes in there is the postman... and that's only when I've been ordering tat on-line.

Must send Christmas cards, I keep forgetting... if I don't do it soon then I'll have to take them by hand and it'll take me until next year. Grrrrrrrrr.

Hurrah, I am in possession of the Castle NOTA nectar card... 8)

My chum that drives a bus has been dutifully adding points every time he went to the petrol station for some diesel to fill up. Why don't they have their own fuel tanks, must ask. Anyway, after a year of hefty fuelling and occasional points from me going down to the local little Sainsbury's I have just under £100 for the Christmas food shop, for free!!

On examining the rules it seemed I had to spend some money and flash the card in my shop of choice before I can redeem my points... meh. So, straight to the big shop it was after work. Luckily I had been scrubbed up for doing interviews not looking scruff like I prefer for lurking at work so I didn't scare anyone. I've not been in that shop for ages, a quick recce round to get the layout and some milk and a tin of twiglets later I'm at the checkout... where the most campest of camp chaps wearing a Santa suit complete with fluffy beard is fending off the customers. Heh, he made Julian Clary sound like Barry White. "Oooooooooooooh, heeeeeeeello and how are you m'duck?" (a local camp dialect then) Everyone got the same greeting...
I learned he has only Christmas day off work too. I shall return there first thing Monday morning to fill my trolley, I've got people to feed. :piggy:

A very enjoyable evening earlier, some people are just decent in a way you'll always have matching grins when you chat. I like that... must have been good as the man of mystery Q turned up surprisingly and added to the chortles. :P

A night of quiet now thankfully, until tomorrow. I want some snow too.

I can't remember when this thread started, earlier this year I guess and I have enough tabs open right now so I can't be arsed checking... the OP no doubt can give me some grief about being so careless.

Anyway, it fills a hole where the old diary thread used to be... a thread that pretty much ended after the momentous VdGG gig in London exactly a year ago (and a jolly fine gig it was, a return to watch Blancmange there in Feb is sorted too).

It also had the tiny post on the 17th Dec late at night of the rather unnoticeable news of finding a fellow nutter. This was due to a suddenly spare ticket for a group one normally has to bribe people to listen to.

One year later and hurrah for nutters and crap music I say... ace.

Blooming hell it's sodding cold out... I know it's winter but still, it's a bit rubbish.

Especially if you need to go out in the morning, not that I need to go to work but I could do with staying snuggled up under the duvet tbh.
I've got a bee in my bonnet about getting the food shop done so it's my fault. It's the only day when there's liable to be just about everything in there after some happy bods have spent all night filling shelves or whatever it is they do in there at night... but not so near the big day that you have to park in the next county and you have to fight for a trolley.

Have been invited out Christmas Eve and Boxing day so that's the grub for those days sorted, so it's just Christmas day to feed people and all is good.
Will have to get some nibbles in for the waifs & strays that turn up in the week following but basically Castle NOTA is ready for Christmas and this year I'm quite looking forward to it.

Ding dong and all that...

No-one will go without here.

You've started already? If I tried that it would be all gone by Christmas. :o
