horrible dreams

Postby Bunny68 » Sat May 28, 2011 9:50 pm

i haven't had them lately but when my kids were younger i had horrible nightmares about getting lost and not being able to get home to my family. the most recent one was terrible. it was about a month ago, and it was about my granddaughter. i dreamt that she got a chicken bone stuck in her throat. i tried everything to get it out, she was going blue from not breathing. it was sooo frightning i woke up crying !!!

I have a reacurring nightmare of being murdered - by a police officer of all people. I've had these for about 25 years.

I essentially stopped dreaming at the age of 10 or 11. I had a night terror that ended up coming true 3 weeks after the dream. On occasion I have dream but it's very seldom and those often come true as well.

I haven't had one of those in a while, but still have an occasional night terror. Had a BF that I would wake up regularly screaming in the middle of the night. He was really good at getting me to come out of those dreams. :)

Don't feel obligated to answer what I'm about to ask...

Did you have trauma that prompted the requirement of medications to sleep?

Most of my discussions on the topic result in people having gone through some sort drastic change or trauma in their lives.

Again, don't hesitate to say you don't want to answer.

Horrible dreams are sometimes dangerous for an individual but pershaps also proves to be a success if we have faced that dream with spirit and facing it without fear. Horrible dreams are such that sometimes give us a right path to carry on in our life if we are unexpectedly in the wrong direction or path. It shows us the side effects and bad part of wrong things.

I take meds to supress the the nightmares. I still dream, but I don't remember them. And I'm glad. Otherwise I win't be able to have any kind of relationship eith a man. And I want that, because I know that not all men are mean.
