Sometimes a foreign crush can seem kind of exotic, which can add to the attraction. I don't agree with you though that western men "crave" eastern european/russian women on a whole.

Interesting question. Probably, because in Russia not so feminization, as in Europe, for example is developed. Women respect men more, think of them. As at us other character, mentality, it is interesting, it something new. Well and many beautiful girls, are the big plus to all aforesaid.
But I don't consider that in Europe women are less beautiful, simply Russian something new.
