How much was The Tourist opening again? Oh yea.....16 million dollars on a 100+ million dollar movie, starring supposedly the two biggest stars in Hollywood. The only thing that saved that movie was Johnny Depps wide appeal internationally.

How much was Moneyball opening again? Oh yea, 19 million dollars, and they spent over 38 million dollars on advertising it, and a 50 million dollar production... Not a big opening weekend for the most sought after, international super star as Brad Pitt supposedly is...and the movie still is in the red, AFTER dvd/blu ray sales.

Oh and Jennifer had two top 2011 movies last year.....and yea, she just signed up for 2 more movies. How many movies is Jolie filming this year?? How about Pitt?? "crickets".

Also, these sites always have Jennifers movies opening low....they did that for JGWI and also Horrible Bosses, and both of them opened way beyond what was expected. So you know who laughs last, laughs hardest....and it seems that Jennifer always is the on who laughs last, all the way to the bank!

Loons are so stupid and yet so hopeful. Wanderlust opens on the 24th - this Friday. No box office results yet, just someone's estimate. Check back when the weekend results are in.

Given that you can't form a sentence without horrible errors, I'm certainly not going to believe the $40m number. It will do better than that; I've been in the business long enough to know. You couldn't survive an hour.

Well, at least Jennifer doesn't have to give away 2,100 tickets to fill seats, so she won't be embarrassed that NO one came to her premiere. BTW she is also receiving a star today on the walk of fame............

Last time I checked, predictions are guesses, educated or otherwise. In the case of Wanderlust, one would expect this to be conjecture, since the film hasn't even opened yet. Seven million for three days is respectable. It's, like, around $6,750,000 higher than ITLOBAH's total to date. Just saying...

LMAO at you all comparing it to ITLOBH..yes lets compare a subtitled movie with violence and war with no-name actors to a comedy by two known actors in the US..one of which FF has been saying is a huge part in why HB and JGWI were so successful..if Jen brings ppl to theaters as you all have been saying since HB came out there is no reason why a comedy which she has been pubbing for all week shouldnt do at least 15mil..the media called Heigl's last movie a FLOP and that opened at 11mil..surely Aniston and RUdd can do better right? I mean you did say she was one of the main draws for HB so shouldnt this movie pull in good numbers as well, better than Heigls film that they all called a flop? Didnt you all laugh at Brad when Moneyball came 2nd behind Lion King..surely Aniston and Rudd arent going to come behind 3 movies that have been out for 3 weekends(Safe House, Journey 2, the Vow)..right? ..gotta love FF

Postby Just Wonderin' » Thu Feb 23, 2012 5:59 pm

How desperate loons must be to have to resort to estimates of how Wanderlust will do to claim it is already a flop when by definition box office numbers are based on what a movie that has been released has brought in. This weekend's box office will tell how Wanderlust opened since this movie is coming out on Friday. Of course loons need to use estimates to bolster their otherwise unsubstantiated claims because the truth is not their friend. And the defense of why ITLOB&H was such a flop with so much promotion, now that is laughable.

A mighty heart's numbers were so pathetic I won't even mention them or Changeling's or Beyond Borders...or In the Land of Crap (numbers shorter than my birthday party list) or Tree of Life or Assassination of Jesse James...the list goes on and on and on so loons really shouldn't be talking about flops
