Do we want government by Pat Robertson or American Protestant or Catholic versions of the ayatollahs that run Iran ?
But earlier you said:

Disgusting , a founding principal of America was religious freedom & respect for all religions .
You are now saying the opposite to what you said yesterday that I quoted above. And, let me remind you, as of date, and I am a day or two older than you, I have NEVER heard as much "religion" coming from any POTUS as I have heard from President Obama. Not even Reagan!
I can understand your use of "Ayatollah". That is one word that has popped in my mind as well a time or two. Some of what I'm hearing concerns me as well.
As for the Catholic church... Again, Paul said it well last night. He used the example that guns don't kill. People do. Same as the issues of Pro-life. It's morals that have decreased. But I do NOT think government should get involved in reproduction. And, I don't understand why the Catholic church or whoever that disagrees with contraception can't be exempted from the Insurance and a credit be issued via policy price reduction. Of course, that's just my simple thinking because it's not making much sense to me. The Catholic church at least does something about taking care of children in need. But, I think it was Gingrich that said something about the church losing a tax credit and they had to "drop something". Sorry... shame on me. My thought at the time was, IF it's that important, forget the tax credit. Follow the conscience. Like I said in the Obama thread, this argument lacks common sense and they seem to be talking out of both sides of their mouths.
