Faro actually gave Junior a new model......there was a prototype, and then the one they gave to PJD. He makes some very nice looking bikes. WHat sets him apart from senior, talent notwithstanding, is that he takes the time to craft his parts according to how he sees the finished bike. Senior likes to take a production bike, do only bare bones minimum in fabrication, and hope the paint job is good enough to sell the project. He is too fixated on deadlines, and not enough into creating a quality bike. Senior got all bent out of shape about the Faro project. He sued one of Junior's employees over it, as well as making that a second lawsuit against his own son. He ignores the fact Faro approached junior, they weren't "stolen" from seniors client base.

It's a shame family is against family like that, but it happens. I know it's a show that likes a bit of drama (and a bit of sad, re- the dog)... but sometimes I'd prefer a bit more tech stuff and less flapping about like a bunch of old women.

The FaroArm is a fine bit of kit and excellent for prototype and reverse engineering work, very much seen as "new" even now and a lot of opposition is apparent from the old school engineers that prefer a fixed CMM machine for traditional measurements. It's a tough job retraining their limited minds.
