Jennifer Aniston has vowed to be married by the end of the year.

The 43-year-old actress - who has been dating Justin Theroux, 40 , since they met on the set of Wanderlust two years ago - has told friends the actor is 'the one' and has even joked that she has issued him with an ultimatum to have asked her to marry him by the time the year draws to a close.

Meanwhile, the star explained the couple's new dog Sophie, a boxer-pitbull cross, is a 'test run' for having children.

Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper quotes Jennifer as telling a friend: 'I'll be married by the end of the year.

'We're constantly laughing. Now we've got our new baby things are getting serious. We have new responsibilities.


Jet setters: The couple, who live between L.A and New York, are currently on the East Coast where they enjoyed dinner with friends on Wednesday night

'She's like a test run for kids, I guess ... although hopefully kids are easier to house-train.'

The actress is said to have added: 'Justin and I argue over who takes the dog out and who disciplines her, but that's about it. Things are fabulous. I'm happy.

'If he's not got down on one knee, or we're mot married, by the end of the year, it's over!'

Jennifer - who divorced Brad Pitt in 2005 and then went on to have doomed relationships with Vince Vaughn and John Mayer - has also told pals she has 'never been so happy.'

A friend added: 'Jennifer has never been so happy romantically.

She and Justin have discussed their long-term future and both agreed that they love the idea of settling down.

The onus is now on Justin to pop the question.'

The former Friends star is beginning to open up about her relationship, despite remaining resolutely tight-lipped at the beginning of their union.

She even felt relaxed enough to even joke about how romantic boyfriend Justin Theroux in an interview to promote Wanderlust.

'He's just the most cold, icy, fishy kind of a guy,' she laughed on Good Morning America. 'I'm trying to warm him up but you know...'

The actress then agreed with interviewer Lara Spencer when she proclaimed that Theroux was 'really cute and great in this movie.'

'He is really cute,' she said. 'He is great - he’s a great actor.'

So it was on Thursday night, as Jen took the hot seat with Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" to chat about pets, Chelsea Handler and drinking moonshine of the set of her latest movie -- with boyfriend Justin Theroux, of course.

Theroux, as we've noticed, has not only had an influence on Jen's happiness, emotional love, etc. Since hooking up with the tall, dark and handsome actor and moving to New York City last year, Jen's been rocking a slightly darker, edgier look. Case in point: her black leather leggings with zippers at the ankles, paired with a black top, layers of bracelets and necklaces and black leather boots.

Even though Jen has recently left NYC for a return to sunny LA, we're glad to see she's still keeping that tough new exterior.

coolness and sexiness comes from inside. No matter one try hard it does come right , if one does not have it in the first place.

even Jen leather from 1199 still look cool and rock and roll. It all about attitued and the way you dress it. What ever Jen wear does not become outdate.

Angie and Brad are just as badly hounded as Jen and honestly I am not going to blame them for having some crazy fans. Every celebrity has those and it is beyond their control. As for Jen I really feel for her. I honestly at the moment she is the most hounded celebrity. It is reaching the Diana obsession and that is sad for someone who just wants to live a normal life. The interview should be interesting and it's something I am looking forward to seeing.

On another note are they still in NYC? If so then they are surely doing a number on the crazy paps. All those sightings and no pic? Methinks they are staying at a different hotel than they always do in NYC. Justin still has his apartment but the paps already know where that is.

I blame them for making implications about Jen right from the start in order to make themselves look good and her look bad. It started years of hatred towards Jen and years of Jolie manipulating the media seeking to change her image. Really it is sickening. Anyway, I’m looking forward to it, too.

Sorry but I absolutely blame those two for most of the crap that Jennifer has to endure. From day one they set it up so that Jennifer looked like the "horrible woman" who wouldn't give Pitt ("I'm too selfish to have kids" in 2004) babies. All of their actions in the beginning was to set Jennifer up, including that little "family trip" to Africa. Sorry not buying that the two are blameless in the Jennifer hate when they're the root cause.
