NW is considered a volunteer police program so they DO have authority and this kid was wrong. Play it any way you want. The kid was violent, reacted violently and that's the way it goes.

NW does not have authority for sh*ts sake, which is why the police dispatcher told the man to NOT intervene. How do you know the kid was violent? Because the man had injuries? How do you know what happened when that man who had been stalking him in his car and was armed decided to confront him? Did you ever consider that maybe Trayvon was defending himself against an armed man who was on a power trip? This man was an adult, was armed and in a vehicle. Trayvon was an unarmed teenager who was doing nothing wrong when he was stalked and then confronted by an armed stranger. It's not the way it goes. People can't just decide who they want to live and who they want to die.

The fact that TM had GZ pinned down and was beating him, which the witness saw after GZ cried for help "call 911" tells me that TM assaulted him first. More will be found out later but TM obviously had anger management issues. And is guilty of assault, which means that GZ will get off for self-defense in FL.

This is not a racial issue, unless you consider that TM had anger issues and took it out on GZ.

Have you also read the article where Zimmerman has been charged with assault before. I wonder who had the anger issues here.

i've not read or heard any such reports (not saying there's no truth to it, but I just haven't seen that reported yet). I know that Zimmerman sustained injuries, but what exactly happened in that altercation? Surely Zimmerman, after having just called the police & stalking the teen didn't just go up to TM, acknowledge what a lovely evening it was and out of nowhere TM beat the crap out of him. So what did Zimmerman do after he called the police? What were his intentions in approaching TM and how did he do so?

The 911 calls pertaining to Trayvon Martin are up on the city's website. Trayvon's parents have alleged that the screaming for help heard in the background is their son and not Zimmerman. I'm not sure who it is, but initially when Zimmerman was so quick to tell people that he was yelling for help and no one would help him, I wondered if he wasn't either just saying that knowing that Trayvon was the one yelling or if he was making a big to do during the altercation knowing that he would shoot Trayvon. In any event, I'm not sure why the much bigger, older & armed man who actively pursued Trayvon as he was trying to get away was the one screaming for help. It seems like Trayvon may have been the one yelling for help.

Zimmerman's call makes it clear that he's in a huff (literally) to catch up with Trayvon and confront him. And there were also two gunshots, not one, as police had previously reported.

I just can't believe Zimmerman isn't in jail right now.
