At the time of The Labour Party election to find a replacement for Gordon Brown if a newspaper had run a headline saying "don't vote for Diane Abbott, choose a white leader" it would have been in trouble and quite rightly so.

Dan, please answer this; Is rap music racist with the abundant use of "nigga" this and "nigga" that? I think it sometimes is, as well as sexist and homophobic Is Chris Rock and Wanda Sykes racists when they use it in their stand-up acts? Sorry I've no idea who they are

Is "cracker" racist? Is "honkey" racist? C'mon, answer please. I truly want your opinion.
Honkey, yes I think so, I don't understand cracker in that context.

You never spoke up when Lena called black Republicans "Uncle Toms". Why is that? Isn't that 'racist'? Or is it only racist when it's applied to certain people? Every one of the conservative members in this thread took issue with her for using it. NO ONE to the left, or you guys from across the pond said anything about it. :?
There is an unpleasant term sometimes used here - wigger, I suppose it's a bit like the white version of Uncle Tom, which refers to white people acting as though they are black. BBC Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood has been called that, which may also be racist since it's purely because he plays a lot of music of black origin.

None of this stuff is set in stone and there will always be an argument about what is and isn't racist.

Please don't shy away or ignore my questions. I really want to hear both sides of this because from where I sit, I see double standards.

You don't know who Chris Rock is? He tours over there doing his act. He is a very funny and likable comedian and actor. He's been in bunches of movies.

I've heard "Wigga", but not often. I don't think it's malicious. White teens calls each other nigga all the time. Black teens call them 'nigga' too. I really don't think those who use it are truly racist. More likely than not, those kids don't even see color. They are of a different generation and they can laugh at themselves... which I find healthy. In the south, many of us are racially confused anyway. Gays here call each other 'queens' and 'fags'... and "girlfriend". I think these people are happy in their skins and they don't give power to silliness.

"Cracker" is a white person. It doesn't offend me. Being called a squaw doesn't offend me either, even when people tell me I should be offended. :? :bang:

We don't know all the facts of the Trayvon Martin-Zimmerman case yet, and it certainly is a tragedy. However, irregardless of who is at fault, or if it shared blame, it is a local and law enforcement matter to sort it out and get all the facts before rushing to judgment. It should not rise to the level of presidential involvement before everything is known, as obama has done. obama's comparison to his son fans the race flame as well.

See what o'bumma said here, captured on youtube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlXK8o70Se0

Willie, two things about this that are scary:

1/ o'bumma is arrogant and clearly thinks he is going to dupe the dumb American people into reelecting him, and

2/ After he is reelected, o'bumma will not have to worry about another election, which means he will show his true far-left radical colours. He will be even more dictatorial than he was in the first term.

I saw this and thought it was worth sharing:

"Hey America, would you trust a doctor, or a lawyer, or a schoolteacher, who hid his credentials from you?

No, you wouldn’t.

So, why is Obama any different?

"The only people that don’t want to disclose the truth, are people with something to hide”.
Barrack Hussein Obama, August 21st, 2010.

According to numerous watchdogs, the Obama legal team has earned almost $2,000,000 for work involving the hiding of the records listed below.

Where did that money come from?

Top 25 records Barack Hussein Obama is hiding from the public.

1 Certified copy of original birth certificate
( Liberals wrongly dismiss this one, ...WHAT ABOUT THE NEXT 24 ... LIBS? )

2 Columbia University transcripts
3 Columbia thesis paper
4 Campaign donor analysis requested by 7 major watchdog groups
5 Harvard University transcripts
6 Illinois State Senate records
7 Illinois State Senate schedule
8 Law practice client list and billing records/summary
9 Locations and names of all half-siblings and step-mother
10 Medical records (only the one page summary released so far)
11 Occidental College Transcripts
12 Parent's marriage Certificate
13 Record of baptism
14 Selective Service registration records
15 Schedules for trips outside of the United States before 2007
16 Passport records for all passports
17 Scholarly articles
18 SAT and LSAT test scores
19 Access to his grandmother in Kenya
20 List of all campaign workers that are lobbyists
21 Punahou grade school records
22 Noelani Kindergarten records are oddly missing from the the State of Hawaii Department of Education.
23 Page 11 of Stanley Ann Dunham's divorce decree.
24 Why did Barack Obama resign from the Illinois bar and where are all of the relevant documents?
25 Why did Michelle Obama resign from the Illinois bar after only about four years of practice and where are all of the relevant documents?"

Anytime I see someone refer to The President using his middle name I immediately become skeptical about their credibility.

Of the things listed I have to say that most are completely inconsequential.
Does it matter what his elementary school grades are, or if his parents were married? College transcripts....his grandma....his SAT scores....his college transcripts...seriously?

What exactly are we trying to figure out? He's an ultra liberal with nationalist policy aspirations. You can tell that by listening to him speek for 10 minutes. I'm not sure how any of this 'hidden' documentation matters.

Why I Hate Obamacare...

I hate the fact that it was voted on--and signed into law--by 536 lawmakers that are supposed to represent "We The People" WHO HAD NOT EVEN READ IT! Irresponsible people like Nancy Pelosi ("We have to pass it in order to find out what's in it"). People who OBVIOUSLY are abrogating their responsibility by hiring (and what is worse RELYING ON) people to write their bills--and deserve to be impeached on that alone. In the final days of Rome, the Roman soldier class had become so wealthy that they hired out their soldierly responsibilities to mercenaries and servants. What's the difference between them, and our Congressmen (not to mention Obama)??

Re: The Obama Thread - Original Vintage Edition

This video is not very nice, but is definitely funny. The point is valid however - who knows what obama will do when he no longer has to worry about reelection:

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/rove ... 56121.html

-----------------------------------------------

Tidho, obviously most of the list of what obama is hiding are of course inconsequential. But a few things are:

24 and 25: barack and michelle obama both resigning from the bar is troublesome, suggesting ethics violations.

2: If obama's grades at Columbia are as bad as some people say, it will show he only got into Harvard because of affirmative action.

1: obama spending a couple million dollars to fight showing his birth certificate is suspicious at best.

---------------------------------------------

Az, the scuttlebutt is that the individual mandate of obamacare will be overturned. The troublesome aspect is that will eliminate one of the major sources of funding the flawed law. If young, healthy people are not forced to buy expensive health insurance that is beyond what they need, then ordinary citizens are going to have to foot the additional bill for an already likely unaffordable obamacare.

I totally agree with this position but it results in a different opinion being formed. Most of those items are inconsequential, which leaves me wondering why there is so much effort being exerted to to avoid disclosure of them.
If these would have been produced, the hoopla could have been eliminated. Since that wasn't the case, it's prompted people to start in-depth investigations. From that research they are finding inconsistencies in documents that are, in-fact, a prerequisite to hold the title of POTUS.

If there is any proof that a crime has been committed against the people of the USA, there will be a hellish backlash by "we the people". That sort of deception by such a high level office is capable crippling the political credibility of any nation, not to mention what it would do to the party that perpetrated such a heinous act against its own people .

I'm with tidho on this one. jaxxx, I'm for equality and if other presidents or candidates for presidents didn't have to show proof of all those items, then why should this man have to do it.

None of the other POTUS's had to show such documentation because there was never a Constitutional question as to whether they were qualified to BE President.

Due to inconsistencies and his unwillingness and million dollars spent to fight presenting a simple document, we may never definitively know where obama was born. http://www.conservapedia.com/Obama_birt ... ontroversy

Meanwhile, obama's very unusual act of resigning from the bar, as well as michelle's resignation, smacks of wrongdoing. Nobody gives up their law license willingly. The following item tries to explore this:

What exactly IS the "constitutional" question for his qualifications?

BTW, this BS is so over the top. I didn't vote for him. You all know that. NEVER wanted him. I was a McCain supporter... which you were NOT, AZ. However, that has nothing to do with this. You boys, you and Ben, give it up, or back it up! Label him a shitty president... that's cool with me, but this searching for crap that hasn't been applied to others of the office is WRONG! IF I'm wrong, then tell me. Support it with something solid, please. :D
