I agree with everything you have said MaryT. If it truly was for them and their children, then just go and get married. There is no reason for an announcement. The only purpose that serves is to create speculation surrounding not only them and their family but also Jennifer as well.
As for the pregnancy story from life and style. Its hard to know when they are making this stuff up, but if Jen did not drink and only ate vegetarian sushi then its definitely a possibility. If you look back at the pics and video we had through out Feb (especially the WOF ceremony), Jen had a small bump, but it was there in the priemere photos, it was reall noticeable during some of the press interviews (especially the MTV interview when Paul and Jen are walking to their seats and access hollywood interview). Even at a point during the prank on the Ellen show you could see it. So it was not due to clothes or a certain angle, however it just be weight gain, although it did not look like that to me.
She has signed on for projects but some dont have a definitive start date and the swtich movie she has not been confirmed for. I am not sure what's going on with MYA. The director had said he would announce the co star soon but he has not. And he tweeted back to someone asking about working with an "actress" that was inferred to be jen that he "hoped so" but he likes her. This made m think that something has postponed the start of this movie or thrown soemthing up in the air.
Again, I think their is evidence to go both ways. Sightings and pics have been few and far between so I guess we will just have to wait for something more definitive.
Guest I personally am more inclined to think she isn't pregnant now for many reasons (new home renos, film projects, etc.). However, I can acknowledge that what you're saying about some of the picture angles during Wanderlust promotion giving a "hint" of a bump. Besides the ones you mentioned, there was also her Conan appearance and Leno where this was also noticeable too. However, this is why I've always said I find "bump watch" to be so unreliable (for Jennifer or anyone else). Jennifer has always had this slight curve to her lower abdomen and I think this is often what gets misconstrued as a "bump" by people. Depending on the outfit, angle, her stance, etc., it's easy for someone to think she's "bumpy." Until she's very obviously visibly pregnant (large undeniable bump) or announces it, I don't put much stock in "bump watch" where she's concerned. I mean there have been pics of her that have really given that impression before and it's not turned out to be the case, so I think it would have to be a rather large distinct bump for it to get me to believe at this point!
As for the L&S report on her food choice and not drinking - well, they could just as easily be inventing that whole report! Plus we've heard before that she's abstained from drinking - there were a bunch of reports of that last August-November, so as someone mentioned then, it might be that she's given up drinking to help with kicking cigarettes. On the other hand, maybe L&S is right, but that still doesn't have to mean she's pregnant: she could simply like the food options they've reported, and she could be opting for non-alcoholic drinks based on preference or because they are trying. Who knows?!
I did have the same question as you mention about the MYA director's tweet about "hoping" to work with her (assuming he was talking about Jennifer) since this came well after he mentioned she was involved and he had met/talked with her (I thought it an odd remark). And you are right that until one of these projects goes into production, anything is possible. I'm still thinking that the films are a big reason that she wouldn't be pregnant right now, but it's certainly possible that she signed on and then became pregnant or was very early stages pregnant and didn't know when she signed on. The only ones that have (unconfirmed) start dates that have floated around (UELP/Switch=May, and MYA=June), were the ones announced back in early February (meaning she signed on for MYA and was in talks for Switch/UELP earlier than that for the info to get out). She's never confirmed her involvement in Switch/UELP (she actually said it was a possibility during the February MTV interview, that they were "talking about it" but not that it was a fact), but the director recently said she is part of the cast (but without knowing when he gave the interview, it's also possible - though not likely - that he was jumping the gun on including her without it being definite). Either way, signing up to a film doesn't preclude a pregnancy: look at Beyonce whose pregnancy postponed the A Star is Born remake, or Reese Witherspoon whose pregnancy has meant she's had to drop out of a previous project commitment. Plus with MYA, one of the characters is meant to be pregnant, so assuming that's Jennifer role and she is or were to become pregnant in real life, it could possibly still work. Besides, lots of films write-in pregnancies too (or film around them): Catherine Zeta-Jones in Traffic is one example.
In terms of WTM, it's been said that she's had the script and an offer for a few weeks (with everything hinging on her) and hasn't yet signed on - so I won't count that as a definite project of hers until something more concrete comes out. And even if she does sign on, there's no start date yet for production (plus if everything really hinges on her then it sounds like they would postpone shooting it to accommodate her if she is or were to become pregnant). The other recent project announcement is the UJTCP written/directed by Justin. Besides there being no start date, this also sounds like it's still in the earlier stages of pre-production and script development, etc. - not close to going into production. Plus, as producer/star and with her partner as writer/director/producer, obviously this can and would be changed or delayed to accommodate her if a pregnancy was an issue.
Like I said, I tend to think her supposedly soon upcoming filming commitments and news are proof she isn't pregnant, but on the other hand, having those put out in the press does offer a good cover if she were pregnant. Recall when the press was reporting she was taking time off from acting that this was used to indicate a pregnancy. So to is the opposite used as proof against one (despite as I've noted above, that not being a good reason since it happens all the time that women become pregnant and projects have to be altered or delayed). We'll just have to wait and see - new pics or info on the projects might offer an answer!
