Groups, VIP, Cabals, Clique ... all add to a formula that spells an unhealthy atmosphere for most forums, and this one is no different.

Personally I allow none of that type of unessential exclusion on my forum as there is an entrance criteria that prevents t**** and wingnuts from even looking at our site let alone joining.

It depends whether you like a forum that actually has some direction and a happy easy going culture, or a free for all that ends in the lowest common denominators and a waste of time for those people who actually want to talk about and read about relevant topics that any forum purports to offer. I see this sort of thing and it just makes me wonder sometimes.

I take no part in any side taking, it's tiresome and childish.

FF has been awesome but sure seems slow now .The energy /insanity / humor/lively conversation and yes dare I say stimulation that once was is lacking .

Why ?

Also a few little englanders who are jealous & resentful of the USA and take every opportunity to vent away often lying .In the process harming maybe even ruining the spirit of global communication that's been so wonderful here.

I don't know why it's slow... maybe people are peeved at finding their out of context words turning up on a site where all the whinging pussies hang out. Maybe they're fed up with kiddie playground gang politics and petty sniping...

Maybe they're too embarrassed at being full of S*** to post anything any more...

I don't know. Personally I'm on-line just as much as always, having a chortle with people that like the same and generally causing amusement, maybe not here but I'll be somewhere... I have little time for drama and preciousness.

Really Lena, to 99.9% of the happy Englanders the US is just somewhere where lots of films about saving the world from aliens emanate and people apparently like to eat lots of burgers... other than that it really doesn't feature highly on our national list of things to think about, honestly.

I think FACEBOK must be taken away people from sites like this .

The other site is the second home to a few of the little englanders.

Happy to hear most people over there don't hate us like the jealous & resentful little englanders here do .

As countries we have gone thru so much together and I find the whole UK very interesting with much to admire.

Learning is good... different cultures make the world go round.

Ahh, the only person banging on about anti-anything is someone that still has more investigation to do about English ways. If you stopped to have a cup of tea and pondered at the grey clouds for a few hundred years your point of view would be infinitely calmer and you would also worry not about what frisky foreigners get up to.

Moi isn't banging on , just mentioning a sad reality about some here.

We saw it flaring when bin laden was killed , the 9/11 thread , and even about Pearl Harbor .

Am sure the root cause of their anti Americanism is anger /depression / frustration at the fact that the UK no longer at the top of the heap and the USA is for the time being still up there.

We?? Is that the whole of the US you speak for there or just a select few that have no idea how to disengage simple fact from emotional bluster?

Personally I am not particularly concerned what the US is getting up to as long as they're not shooting at us or mucking up the planet too much. Just like most people in the world I guess.
Size for size the UK does just fine. There's no anger, no depression and no jealousy... the national worry is about the weather.

Really, parents are ever indulgent of their children's antics.

A few here will put a negative spin at times coming close to insanity on anything involving the USA .

99.9 % of UK'ers may not be jealous of us at all but those warheads certainly are .

If I lived in the UK wud be busy seeing all the historical places and museums , walking the streets of London soaking it all in , seeing the White Cliffs of Dover ,a detailed expedition among the dyke sub culture, and going over to near by countries.

Bleet to the ones you think are "warheads" as I am beyond caring about bollox like that.

The UK is indeed full of history and interesting things. There's a lot packed into a little area. Handy for Europe travel too.
