how do you feel about compulsive amusement or easy going weirdness?

Personally I favour easy going weirdness I find it much easier to go through life being thought a little strange, people tend to just let me get on with things without too much interferance and it is very much preferable to irascible old man which I can now get away with at a pinch!

It depends what sort of weirdness it is I suppose... amusement is fine though.

Fortunately being female gives one complete leeway for doing things in mad ways... I can go out with a traffic cone on my head and blame it on hormones or something... it's brill. 8)

Of course chaps can blame hormones as well as age too but that might be pushing the boundary of weirdness too far.

So basically if the weirdness is normal you are fine with it?

Sounds about right, men use hormones to explain women's irrational behaviour too but probably from a slightly different not to say conflicting viewpoint which has nothng whatsoever to do with traffic cones or indeed the wearing or not of them.

If the weirdness is harmless then it's OK.

It's something us females don't like to dispute too much as chaps might expect us to be "rational" or something which is not so much fun. We leave that to you lot... it makes blokes feel better to be doing stuff like that.

What on earth gave you the idea that chaps were any more rational than your average or indeed above average female? Logical yes, sensible certainly less scared of spiders (except very big hairy ones) of course but Rational? Nah that is just a myth

Of course I meant harmless weirdness it is after all the best kind

Ahh... they appear to be rationality personified, until you get their trousers off of course... do that a lot do you? :o

Most of the blokes I know would crap themselves if you chucked a spider at 'em... I quite like spiders but I don't pick 'em up if they're dead. I dislike ex spiders, furry or not.

As for logical... I'm afraid it's a bit of a gamble to know whether you're near to a logical person or a bit of a nutjob... harmless weirdness would be an improvement for those ones.

I take my trousers off at least once every day, never noticed a drop in rationality when I do, mind I might be biased there.

Spiders really don't bother me dead or alive big or small hairy or not we don't have poisoous ones in the UK so there is ot really very much to worry about is there? Course if we are talking tarrantulars, black widows and the like I might think a little differetly.

Bit of a leap from illogical to homicidal maniac although on reflection I have known some homicidal maniacs, well known of would be more accurate, to be quite logical so maybe it is a logical conclusion.

Meh, you must be getting old then...

I can't see where maniacs were mentioned, perhaps you may hang about with those but I don't... I like the quiet life. 8)

Old ? possibly (which proves that I am as it didn't rile me when you said it) but I can't recall changing that much over the years, it is usually the prospect of getting our trousers off with a particular purpose that sends us irrational.

You said nutjobs I said maniacs same differance really don't ya think?

Heh, I'm used to chaps looking a bit irrational when they're de-trousered... or perhaps it's worry, you never know.

I think a nutjob is just a minor irritant to be avoided, a maniac sounds quite dangerous tbh. Surely maniacs should be kept away from decent humans? :o

There encapsulated in a single sentance we have the wonder of the English language, you use teh term nutjob to mean a mildly odd person a "minor irritant" while I would use it to mean a maniac.
Good job we are not politicians we might have started a war!

There is a grading system...

Bit daft = Spangle
Bit weird = Nutjob
Weird = Wingnut
So weird they shouldn't be allowed near a PC to talk to people = t***
So weird they shouldn't even be allowed near anyone else real or virtual = Maniac

I could not be a politician as I do not spout enough bullshit... I see many on-line lost their calling though.

Perhaps there is a parliamentary forum, I'll have to do some inquiries... I bet that's a fun read too...

So glad you explained that to me I will try to incorporate it into my vocabulary just to be able to converse.

Dont ya think spouting bullsh** is good fun when you know it is what you are spouting?

Parlimentary forum a fun read? depends on how you define fun I suppose, certainly not under any definition I have ever heard of!

Hmmm, English is so overrated I suppose. No, I do not find bullshit that fun, those that do are just a bit sad I think.

My idea of fun is gadding about seeing interesting things, hauling mates out to see more interesting things, picnics, walking, writing stories, cooking food and generally larking about in an idle fashion. 8)
I'm sure politics is exciting to some people and jolly good luck to 'em, I should have written that remark in the sarcastic font that did the rounds not long ago... it doesn't work on here though.
