Also want to add that I refuse to visit the BO site since I expressed my unfavorable impressions (from the copied article alone) when the site was first mentioned here which I got flak for my opinion then.

So as far as for me, it's not any BO malware. My finger still points to a badly designed board. Before the 503 errors, there used to be a long delay from some "maintenance."

Bohomouth. It's a relatively new gossip site.

Initially several ardent supporters were cheering on BO as a site that took down the Brand. I wasn't impressed with its charade as some exclusive source of insider gossip or the writing. However, a few warned of the hijacking of their internet settings - something about a search engine - from visiting the site. And the site's ability to identify the visitor of their old user name. Red flags, huh?

Since then, BO has also maligned Jen as some desperate spinster so those avid supporters haven't been cheering on that site as much - if they still do. Well, at least they're not telling us detractors to shut up anymore.

How do they do that?

I don't completely understand but some have explained it's a wordpress feature that stores that information. Ultimately it has to be cookies. That is where sites leave identifying information about your visit including IP address, computer information and any log-in data on your computer hard-drive. Every time you visit that same site, it accesses that cookie for that stored information.

There are also a host of other web tracking tools but beyond my pay grade.

WOW! Thanks. I had no idea about this sort of thing. Log in data from my computer? Does that mean if I log in to wordpress, or when I log into my own computer? The passwords?

I have been to unknown many times, and I have never had the kind of issues the OP is describing from visiting that site. I have had the issue of defaults changing after visiting other sites until I changed my antivirus program.

I would add that the only way to be completely safe . the web or going to any site is to get a MAC number anonymizer. Unfortunately, this software comes with its own set of potentially serious problems as well. I've heard that you can never uninstall it once you get it because it will disable other non-related PC functions. So, it's a lifetime commitment, no matter how much they charge or how many problems it may cause.

I don't know anything about unknown, but I had to recreate my account because every time I tried to login it said that my account didn't exist. I've tried to get it straightened out for so long but I gave up. So Skankalina is now _Skankalina. I know, clever, right?

In the last 3 years of posting here, I've never had so any 50E Error Messages than in the past week. Never been to Sickk's sites, and have always been at Dlisted, the dubious IUC and others, never to have these intrusions. I say something's amiss. But then, it won't stop many of us from commenting here. Me included. But did ya'll have that 503 most of last night in the West? Odd to say the least. Purpose here of posting? Methinks something somewhere is amiss.
