I think I know when she first began using it -- she always used to be scratching herself, and that is one of the side effects which eventually wears off. An excellent example is if you have a copy of Lord of the rings Fellowship of the Ring....the extras tell of PJackson's camera manipulations with Gandolf and Frodo in the cart in the beginning of the movie. Hobbits are only about three feet tall in the book so PJ had to make Frodo appear smaller while seated side by side with Gandolf. The seat that appeared to be straight across the cart was actually split in half with Frodo seated several feet behind and to the left of Gandolf with the camera angle from right to left with Frodo on the left and far away fropm the camera. Fascinating tricks that they used throughout the movies are in the extras.
