ETA: To the guest that had a problem with my post. Let me ask you a question...if some random stranger came up to you and started asking you if you are pregnant when you are not, would you or would you not feel insulted? They are basically criticizing your body and calling you fat.
Speculation whether or not a celebrity is pregnant is something that isn't uncommon, but the problem I have with this one is the fact that it has been speculated SO MANY TIMES. Seeing the same "is she pregnant" talk over and over and OVER AGAIN just because of the simple fact she hasn't been photographed in a while IS annoying. And I bet she will tell you that she finds it rude and disrespectful. People need to stay out of her ovaries. Thats all.
Thank you for the courteous and thoughtful response, TMS. But, with respect, I think you are missing my point. We are on a British GOSSIP BOARD, on a thread devoted to Jennifer Aniston. So, that's what people do. They speculate and gossip about Jen Aniston. Given the fact, that she has said many times that she wants to have a baby, it is natural that her fans are hoping to see it happen also, and speculate about it on occasion. I think I can safely say that none of us here would ever ask her this question if we met her real life. I think it is safe to say, also, that she is not even aware of this rather obsure board, and likely would not be bothered by the speculation if she were.
When asked whether she was pregnant last winter, after months of tabloid speculation, she said no, she wasn't pregnant, that she had quit smoking and put on a couple of pounds. Then she laughed and said something like, "see how easy that was? All you have to do is ask me." Based on her response, I would venture to say that she is accustomed to this speculation, and is not bothered by it as much as some of her fans might think she is.
I could see where this speculation could get annoying -- it does seem to be cycle around every few months or so. I would add that there are quite a few topics about her that I, personally, find annoying. I bet all of us have pet peeves about one topic or another. I just prefer to ignore those posts and respond to the ones that interest me. It's all about respect for each other as human beings, fans, and members of the same board. That's all I was trying to say. As I said in my earlier post, it's bad enough to wade through the loon garbage. It'd be nice if we could be kinder to each other than that.
Thanks again for reading and responding so nicely. I do enjoy your posts, and was just caught surprise by the one in question because I consider you to be one of the nicer posters on this board - as your response to me proved
