Saw this tweet and thought it was funny:

People shouldn't feel bad for Jennifer Aniston. She'll probably marry into the Theroux family & have Louis as a cousin. Brad gets Jon Voight
10h

And a cute pic I had never seen before of Jennifer as a girl with her Greek grandmother:

LOL that is funny and not a lie either. I think everybody in that family besides Justin's dad who is a lawyer is a writer. I read that even his prom date was an Oscar nominated journalist (in form of documentaries)...lol

Yeah I just that was really funny when I read it. Because wherever you stand, I think you have to admit Voight comes off as fairly crazy. Most of what I know of the Theroux family (apart from Louis) comes from posters here who have brought over the info, but they do seem to be a very intellectual bunch - lots of critically respected writers amongst them.

I once read about Paul Theroux's family history and you can really see how far they came from. It's a long but interesting read if you have time. Or you can just scroll to the family section.

Phyllis Theroux is ahh-mazing and is probably the only reason I accepted Justin so easily. She is as sharp as a tack and just as sweet and I have been to just about every one of her writers' sessions. I also have many of her essay works in my library. I would be thrilled if she ended up as Jen's mother-in-law. She is such a wonderful woman. I would even go as far as saying that Jen might be drawn even closer to Phyllis than she was to Jane and I know how much she and Jane adore each other. Phyllis is a lot like Jen in that she draws you in with nothing more than a warm smile and a very open, welcoming vibe. If anyone else loves to read, pick up one of her pieces on Amazon and come back and let us know what you think!

I am actually interested in writing short stories and was thinking of doing her writers' sessions since I am from Richmond, VA. I am a college student though and my interesting in writing comes and goes so maybe it may not be for me. This is also just for fun so I should probably not waste time for another person who might have a greater interest in writing than I.

On the contrary Lola. I was much like you when I attended my first session with Phyllis and I only went as a guest of a friend who is a writer. I began keeping my own journal after that and it actually spurred me on to write my own short stories and essays. Maybe I might be published someday but either way, her workshops and discussions are great for anyone from the avid reader to the composition newbie to the seasoned writer. I heard that she has even seen attendance from very well-known authors such as John Grisham and Nora Roberts if that tells you anything. If you get the chance to go see her, take it!

That is very insightful so thanks. I will think about it. My interest at the moment is 4/10 when last month it was 10/10....lol. If I ever get a chance then I will take her since I don't have the excuse of saying that it's too far or I have to worry about travel costs. I hope you do continue writing and maybe someday it will all work it. We all have to start somewhere.

Right?? WTH? Way to downgrade the event.

UGH. I know. I read a tweet today that Lohan was hammered and missed her first flight to DC. Who gives out all these invites, or are they for sale?

imo it has a very pragmatic reason why they were invited - their controversal invitation will generate much more pr interest, than if they had invited some respected people. and bad pr is better than none as now everybody is talking about obama, the meeting and why those two were invited. mission accomplished.

I wasnt talking directly to you, maryt I was referring to another poster that said she seems to be hiding her body or something. Also, I was just saying that its really annoying how people are always looking at her stomach and judging how "big" it is. Every time she is not photographed for an extended period of time, people start speculating BS. THAT is annoying as hell. How about we all wait until she says she is, then we can talk about it? It really rude and disrespectful to "declare" someone pregnant just because they were wearing what other people deem loose clothing.

I actually didn't think you were directing that at me ThisMadScientist, and I agree with what you are saying about "bump watch." It's highly unreliable since there have been so many times now that people have determined she was pregnant and it's turned out to be just a bad pic, poor posture, bad outfit, etc. Like I said, at this point, I'm going to need some really hard evidence before buying into this pregnancy theory. I'm just saying that it isn't out of the question and work is not a determining factor against it either.

And you are very right that when she is off the radar for a while everyone starts to go a little antsy - the paps, tabloids, and public. I'm glad they've had some privacy recently, but some pics would be nice just to quiet rumors!

Very dipomatic answer, MaryT. ThisMadScientist, we all disagree with each other from time to time. However, personally attacking posters by calling them "rude and disrespectful" because they are speculating on a <A HREF='http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/celebrity/?celeb=<A HREF='http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/celebrity/?celeb=Jennifer Aniston' target='_blank'>Jennifer Aniston</A>' target='_blank'><A HREF='http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/celebrity/?celeb=Jennifer Aniston' target='_blank'>Jennifer Aniston</A></A> GOSSIP BOARD as to whether she is pregnant or not is, frankly, far more rude and disrespectful than the speculation itself.

I'm not sure when this holie than thou attitude started becoming acceptable, but it is really off-putting. If it bothers you that some people are speculating as to Aniston's pregnancy or lack of, please -- just ignore the posts, instead of derailing the thread by making personal attacks on other posters. We get enough of that from the loons, who simply can't seem to leave this board alone; I would like to think that we anti's are better than that.

I have a better idea internie- mad scienctiest/one- of- the- site runners. Maniston .....waaah waaa wwaaa i am a deseperate stupitt's intern ho and nobody likes me

loon, pitt still has a smallest ones (both brains and that pony stick). fact.

And some nice words about Jennifer from her Rumor Has It costar Mena Suvari in a new interview:

Working in Hollywood has given Mena some great opportunities. She worked with <A HREF='http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/celebrity/?celeb=Jennifer Aniston' target='_blank'>Jennifer Aniston</A> on the 2005 movie Rumor Has It and was astounded by how grounded the actress was.

Mena doesn’t think she would cope as well if she was in Jennifer’s position.

“She’s an amazing woman,” Mena told Look magazine. “We’re both Greek and Aquarians so that was really fun to find out about each other. She’s an absolute sweetheart. I can’t even imagine having the life she has but she stays so grounded and down to earth.”

since i saw Mr Brook, i realy like Kevin Costner. rumor has it is a great movie, imo.

I can't be bothered to look up who invited the Kardashians, but LiLo attended as a guest of Fox News's Greta Van Sustren.
