What do people think about blokes wearing footwear with a bit of a heel? This had never occurred to me until I was in shop looking for some new (short) boots. I found some I really liked the style of - but was put off by the fact that they had a good inch or so heel. Felt really weird trying them on - easy to walk in but consciously "taller". Couldn't decide how people (friends or strangers) would react to them - are they a bit "gay"?! I settled for something far more plain.
