'Rock of Ages' Movie Inspires a New Line of Def Leppard T-Shirts
The Lyric Culture t-shirt line has teamed up with the metal band to create men's and women's tees.

Def Leppard? We haven't heard that name since, well, the big-haired eighties. But it turns out that this is the metal band that inspired a lot of the performances in the new movie (and the musical version of) Rock of Ages, opening in two weeks. Tom Cruise plays a heavy metal hot shot who sets off a wave of heavy guitar power chords, ripped t-shirts, tight jeans -- and inspires hysteria enough to have Catherine Zeta Jones want to shut down the whole metal scene.

Now Def Leppard are cashing in on this new wave of probably interest, since the movie's expected to be another summer blockbuster, following The Avengers and Men in Black 3. Not only have they teamed up with t-shirt line Lyric Culture to create a line of women's and men's tees, but they're showing them at what is being called a "unique private pre Rock of Ages premiere event next week on June 7, where the band will show off the new shirts with so-called "top models" in West Hollywood.

The invite says there will be celebrity attendees, which one hopes would be castmembers from the movie -- but will Cruise be showing up? We kind of doubt it. This is a pretty big stretch of a connection to the movie -- but all's fair in Hollywood and fashion, right?

She seems a little odd, so I'm not too sure about these tweets, but assuming she's telling the truth, I'm trying to figure out what project of Jennifer's she would need pink diamonds for? It sounds like Jennifer is very involved in the film, so I would think that means one of the projects she's also producing - maybe the heist film that Justin is set to write and direct? Perhaps the heist involves jewelery? Otherwise, I think she is a producer on MYA and UELP, and out of those the only thing that seems like it could fit this would be UELP. Who knows though, this woman seems more than a little strange - I mean she got all those things from a brief meeting about jewelery for a film? I'm a bit skeptical.

Well maybe it's just me, but the way she refers to people as princess or some derivative of that and gave all those characteristics about Jennifer from a simple meeting on jewelery for a film is what strikes me as odd. I mean I'm not saying Jennifer isn't all those things, but would you really see someone being "selfless" and "empathetic" in a business meeting about jewelery for a film? I don't know, just seemed a little over the top to me.

So it sounds like she is saying the meeting was about Miss You Already, which I wouldn't have thought of for pink diamonds, but who knows what Jennifer's character's profession or wealth is in that film I guess.

Also I'll add that other than social networking sites, there doesn't seem to be any actual website or business links on the web for this person. Given Jennifer's connections you would think she would be consulting with a more well known jeweler for any film needs.

And the tweeter's continued tweets about how Jennifer is as a person raise the skepticism with me again - you would think a professional who met Jennifer in a professional setting for a meeting on jewelery wouldn't really be able to draw all these conclusions and then go on twitter and comment on it, but who knows:

Anyways anybody have kids here? What do you do to kids in the summer...lol? All the summer camps I am looking at are so dang expensive and mostly are just one week. I guess she could be starstruck, but she proclaimed in one of her tweets that she's "renowned as a celebrity fashion connoisseur and famed for my extravagant princess-cut precious stone collection" - so it would seem she should have regular experience with celebs if that were true and not be that starstruck, or at the least, know not to go talking too much on twitter about their business meeting. You would also think you could find info about her on the web. She even continued on tweeting to Jennifer fan tweeters claiming to them she had passed their messages for Jennifer on to her right when they met. That seems really unprofessional to me as well. I mean she would have had to tell Jennifer right upon meeting that she had tweeted about the meeting and then tell her specifics of fan comments she was asked to deliver - seems like really odd behavior for someone familiar with the industry.

Also, the Galmour dinner for Julianne Hough tonight and Jusyin was spotted by an LA times reporter. No mention of Jen (I didnt think she'd go, actually).

Thanks for that tweet Monie - and agreed, I didn't think Jennifer would attend either. We might get some candids of Justin arriving/leaving later though.

And yes, the tweeter does seem to be a male. Like I said, maybe it's true, but the tweets really seem suspicious to me both from the way the person was tweeting, their lack of discretion, and because I've never heard of them and you would think Jennifer would use one of her longtime jeweler contacts for something like this. Who knows though?!
