Does Clinton want o'bumma to lose, since the latter played the race card against his wife in 2008? Does Clinton disagree with the socialist economics o'bumma exposes to? Is Clinton trying to contrast his and his wife's views from that of o'bumma, to set Hillary up for a 2016 run?

I haven't been keeping up closely of late. However, I remember Clinton had a few conservative contributions that helped keep spending responsible and curb fraud when he was in office. He's not a dumb man... even though he has been a misbehaving one. There are pros and cons of each party. I don't understand how anyone can be a diehard on either side.

That's what I'm worried about, "our way of life". I'm not sure which way the wind will blow me on this election. Supporting Rommey would make me eat my words that I've written in this thread regarding Obama when he ran for office. If both, or we, are dedicated Red, White and Blue loving Americans, why don't they (we) just work together for our greater good.

Hot Tea, list what is at "stake" in this election, please, for me. I'm being genuine. I really want to know because I'm confused. We are divided in my home about it. I think the whole taxation issue needs repair.

Sweet Tea, America is broke and in decline. Romney offers some hope, whereas obama not only offers no hope, but he will accelerate the decline and bankruptcy of the country.

obama took Bush's worst budget deficit and doubled to tripled it. He refuses to cut spending, even a little, and ignored his own Simpson-Bowles Commission study and recommendations on how to reduce the deficit. If you think about it, nothing else matters. The Republicans always cave in to obama, but at least Romney is a businessman who knows you can't spend more than you take in forever.

obama believes government is the one and only answer. He doesn't understand or believe in capitalism, distrusts it, and believes corporations should do the government's bidding. He expouses Marxian economic concepts such his heartfelt belief that anyone who got rich did so because they exploited the poor workers. Read the principles of Marxism, and they sound just like obama. He even choose to kick off his official campaign on Karl Marx's birthday, and selected the socialist slogan forward as his campaign motto. Even Bill Clinton and Cory Booker have had to put obama in his place. obama's recent statement that the private sector is just fine is indicative of his mistaken beliefs. Romney at least understands capitalism and is not hostile to it like obama is.

obama is the most divisive president I have ever known. He pits rich against poor, black against white, women against men, young against old. He demonizes everyone and everything which does not conform to his view of life. Romney at least will not purposely try to divide America against itself.

obama and his wife have no respect for America, American priciples, or the American way of life - in fact, they have nothing but contempt for it. obama's recent release of classified military information to make himself look good is an example. So was obama's release of classified information about enhanced interrogation a few years back. He rammed obamacare down peoples' throat by misusing a 60 vote rule to get it passed (was supposed to be used only to unlock budget impasses). He tried to intimidate the Supreme Court from ruling that obamacare is unconstitutional. He is a dictator at heart and views himself as royalty. Romney at least is loyal to America.

obama will never reform the tax code unless it is to increase the redistributive aspects of the code. Romney will at least consider tax refom.

obama will never reform entitlements, but medicare and social security are not actuarilly sound. They were developed in a different era with different demographics of the ratio of workers to retirees, and a much shorter life expectancy. Romney has stated he will reform them in order to save them. obama instead will bankrupt them and the pain will be much greater later on.

Under obama, there will be nobody to bail America out when it goes bankrupt. They only way out will be massive inflation, to make the debt seem smaller. Massive inflation is the cruelest tax of all, and your way of life is highly unlikely to survive.

Ok, Sweet Tea, you asked me to list what is at stake in the election, and I did, for you.

What do you think is at stake in this election? I'm amazed that after 3 1/2 years of failure and destruction, you would still be undecided about o'bumma.

These people actually THINK this way:
This, from The Bucking Jenny, after I said "You dumb sh*t" regarding her glowing praise for SCOTUS' decision earlier today:
"Alma, once I get to my pc you will be banned so have fun trolling while you can you wicked witch. How dare you come to my page with such a treason! I stand by our president, our court, and the congress that wrote the affordable care act. Take your hateful self someplace else! If you don't like gov't subsidized and regulated healthcare go find another civilized nation who does and move there - oh! Wait! You can't because we were the last one, which makes you the last of the last to cling to hateful backward rhetoric in the entire world. I bet your mamma's proud."

Yes, it is pretty sad that people actually think that way. That is why obama is the favourite to get reelected. Wonder what they will think of obamacare after obama bankrupts the country and all these wonderful "free" benefits will have to be cut?

Meanwhile, holder and obama are in contempt of not only Congress, but also the American people.

Louisiana Cajuns are in the minority in that state--probably less than 10% of the population--and are largely in the category of those who never vote. Moreover, one cannot blame the Cajuns for Bobby Jindal getting elected as Governor--even if he is one (and I don't know that he is, and he's not important enough to me to bother looking it up!), any more than one should blame blacks for getting Obama elected--even if he is one (sort of). Louisianans' penchant (which they share with Illinoisians, BTW) for electing crooked governors who "do it with style" (as a neighbor put it when I was living in Louisiana in the early 80s), especially those who flip the finger at the Feds, are who to blame for Bobby being Governor. Until THAT changes, we can continue to expect great witticisms of inbred intellectual clarity to spew forth from Louisiana.

I saw this and am sharing it:

About Mitt Romney:
Personal Information:
His full Name is: Willard Mitt Romney
He was Born: March 12, 1947 and is 65 years old.
His Father is George W. Romney, former Governor of the State of Michigan
He was raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan
He is Married to: Ann Romney since 1969; they have five children
Education:
He earned a Batchelor of Arts (B.A.) from Brigham Young University
He earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Harvard University
He earned a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Harvard University
Religion:He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints ("Mormon")Working Background:
After high school, he spent 30 months in France as a Mormon missionary.
After going to both Harvard Business School andHarvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar, but never worked as an attorney.
In 1984, he co-founded Bain Capital, a private equity investment firm, which became one of the largest such firms in the United States.
In 1994, he ran for Senator of Massachusetts and lost to Ted Kennedy.
He was President and C.E.O. of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
In 2002, he was elected Governor of the State of Massachusetts where he eliminated a 1.5 billion deficit.
Some Interesting Fact about Mitt Romney:Bain Capital: starting with one small office supply store in Massachusetts, turned it into Staples; now with over 2,000 stores employing 90,000 people. Bain Capital also worked to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others.
He was an unpaid volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign for 1 year.
He was an unpaid intern in his dad’s governor’s office for eight years.
He was an unpaid bishop and stake president of his church for ten years.
The stories of his personal involvement in helping others, as well as his annual gifts to charities, continue to be impressive.

He was an unpaid President of the Salt Lake Olympic Committee for three years. When others could not do it, he stepped in to take over a troubled Organizing Committee and oversaw the making of the the Olympic Games successful. (A very complex task, only accomplished because of his leadership and experience in working with people for a common goal.)

He accepted no salary and was the unpaid Governor of Massachusetts for four years. He gave his entire inheritance from his father to charity.Mitt Romney is one of the wealthiest self-made men in our country who has given more back to its citizens in terms of money, service and time than most men. (In fact, it's difficult to find another man even close in this respect!)

Mitt Romney is Trustworthy:
He will show us his birth certificate.
He will show us his high school and college transcripts.
He will show us his social security card.
He will show us his law degree.
He will show us his draft notice.
He will show us his medical records.
He will show us his income tax records.
He will show us he has nothing to hide.

Mitt Romney’s background, experience and trustworthiness show him to be a great leader and prove that he will be an excellent President of the United States of America. Get Out and vote November 6th!

And so the repetitive crap goes on month after month after month. Obama has shown his birth certificate, what's the problem?

Do I want a country armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons to be run by a right-wing nutter who believes in the face of all logical reason that God appeared to an American, well of course it would have to be an American, and told him he was to lead the only true religion in the world and gave him comically badly written ancient texts and some sort of crystal ball with which to translate them, neither of which have ever been seen since? I don't think so.

For f*ck sake, this crap has as much credibility as the tooth fairy. You want him as president?

People have a right to believe in religion. And I don't know how you conclude that anyone believes God is American, or British either for that matter.
