You can tell she and Kirsten really hit off and are good friends now. You never hear or see that from Jolie and any of her female co-stars. With the exception of Queen Latifah and we all know why they hit it off.

What did the Queen have to say about Jolie? I know they were in the "Bone Collector" together, but other than typical PR costar flattery, I wasn't aware that QL had really said anything about Jolie.

I can't remember anything she specifically said, but she's the only female actress I have seen her hug and laugh and act friendly with when they run into each other at events. Every other female she acts like she can't stand to be in the same room with.

I finally got to see SW and it was really good. If you like the sword and sorcery genre you will love it. And it really IS Charlize's movie. The whole first 20 minutes are all about her. It's really the Queen's story. They spend way more time on her back story and what motivates the Queen and how she got to be the way she is than Snow White's story line. Snow White is basically there just as the chosen one to kill the Queen. The Huntsmen doesn't even show up until half way through the movie. He really is just a side kick.
I love that female lead driven fantasy movie is doing so well. It should without a doubt be in the "action heroine" category on BOM. I wonder why it isn't yet.

I saw SW on Saturday and was blown away by Theron. TBH, the scenes featuring the title characters seemed to drag on and on and my mind would wander; but Theron's Ravenna had my undivided attention at all times. Theron plays one of the most evil characters ever to grace the movie screen; yet I found I could not despise Ravenna. There were these subtle, endearing emotions that Theron projects throughout her performance. Not to give anything away, but in the last scene, my heart "really, actually, truly" went out to Ravenna; even after all the despicable crap she pulled. It has much to do with that heart-wrenching expression on her face.... Theron is a true actor.

Good synopsis. I loved it too, and wondered why there is a need to tell the evil queen's story yet AGAIN, in Jolie's version. Really, Charlize did the job... incredibly well... you understood what was behind the evil... had compassion, yet did not choose to side with her evil ways. The only thing that I can see Jolie doing is trying to convince us to side with evil. She wouldn't have the capacity to rise above that, as Charlize managed to do.

And remember according to Loon math both movies only have to reach 270ish before we can start claiming 300million. Neither The Tourist or Salt ever reached 300 mil but the Loons always claim they did.
Oh and total proof that The Tourist BO oversees was all about Depp....Dark Shadows didn't do a whole lot better domestic than Tourist yet it's already earned 135mil oversees and will probably finish around the same WW total as Tourist. All Depp.

She is one hot commodity right now..............

But hey Jolie might be able to do the fairytale genre, next up she could play The old woman that lived in a shoe....

Oh yes JL just took over the action heroine genre lock stock and barrel. But Loons would use the excuse she's young and no woman Jolie's advanced age could do the same thing she is.
