Bloated stomach

Hey, I am just 16 and I weigh 93lbs and I am 5ft3". I know i'm a lil underweight, but I keep getting a bloated stomach that sticks out, especially towards the end of the day. I have my school prom coming up in a couple of days, andmy worst fear is having a bloated stomach for tha, I feel that I might even have to breath in all the time so that I look skinner. I know im not fat i just cant describ how i'm feeling, has anyone got any ideas on how to get rid of this bloated stomach?

Hey, I've had the same problem since I was 17, I am 19 now. It's horrible, makes you feel sick and people ask if you're pregnant :x .
The doctor thought I had an eating disorder when I saw her which just pissed me off because it's not that.
A lady who has had it told me to drink cranberry juice, and I don't know if it was coincedence or not but I think it helped a little. Alos try De-Gas tablets, you can buy them in the supermarket. They didn't help me but they may be worst trying.
I have definately been a little better in the last few weeks, which is excellent but I've no idea why.
Taking the contraceptive pill worked for a friend, not I though.

I am nearly 35 and someone asked me if i was pregnant today I have the same problem, I am also 96lbs and 5ft3 I am going to try and cut down on bread, potatoes, bisciuts and alcohol and do a bit more exercise . Sometimes i think the more you worry about it then stresses you out you become obseesssed with it and you want to pig out get depressed and then do nothing except find a cure, chill out be as healthy as possible and i am sure our bellies will look flatter. also good posture is important so stand up straight good luck amanda

Bloated Stomach

Try massaging your stomach muscles. Press very firmly on the bloated area in circular motions using a firming cream (Nivea Firming Lotion) seems to work great for me. Alot of times it's gas and undigested food. The massage helps to move the gas and your bowels. I went to Nassau Bahamas and my stomach was so bloated I did not want to wear my bikini. My mom is a Professional Massage Therapist and she told me to lie down and she massaged my stomach very firmly. I immediately felt gas passing. She used a firming cream and the next morning my stomach was flat. I now try massaging my stomach every night for 20 minutes.

It sounds like a food intolerance - wheat is the most usual cause. Go for a few days without eating any wheat products & if that's what it is, you'll notice the difference pretty quickly.

you said you are underweight. do you eat enough protein the reason I am asking if you dont fluid will leak out of your stomach wall and couse bloating. this is why alcoholics and people with starvation get rounded bellys

My Stomach!!!

Laxatives don't work for me. Nor do vitamins or fruits.

But I wake up in the morning with a flat belly. I'll drink a glass of orange juice, and my stomach pops out! It's completely ELASTIC. With every bite I eat, my stomach is that much bigger. Why?

Why is it skinny guys can eat like an entire medium pizza and have almost a flat tummy, and an average-ish guy (I'm 5'7" 135 lbs) has a huge tummy by the end of the night?

Every time I go to anything where I expect to remove my shirt, I have to eat absolutely NOTHING the entire day, so I can go there without looking pregnant.

I don't think it's gas, as it is immediate and even drinking water does this to me.

How can I fix this? Thanks :)

hey me too. I 7and a half stone and im 5ft 5. Im a size 6 and petite evrywhere except my bloated stomach. I bloat near my bellybutton area its horrible. People alwayz fink im pregnant, i dont have a clue why i get it. There is a new pill out called Yasmin that is ment tohelp it which im switchin too

Make sure you're not constipated. I'm petite and small too but if I skip a day going to the bathroom--POOF-- out comes my stomach. :roll:

lol! Finally, ppl who have the same problem as me! I've had a bloated stomach since... I can't remember, like when i was 3 yrs old! I'm skinny, like my legs and arms are skinny and then my stomach is sticking out. Kind of like a stick figure with a round torso and stick think arms & legs. It's betting in the morning, but after I eat something it really sticks out so i've been holding my somach in for yeaaars now. But it's good to know that you're not alone i mean, I've always thought that I had some disease or that something was wrong with me. I've always thought that I looked weird (I actually still do) like a stick fgure with a ballooned stomach.
I've tried sit-ups and other ab exercises but it just won't work..... guess I'll have to live with it lol

eat a diet high in fibre,cut out wheat products and eat stuff with soy flour,drink lots of water,and do some pilates to strengthen your abdominals.
pay attention when I'm talking to you and stop laughing, about human nature, man's psychological make-up, some story the wife'll believe and hence the very meaning of life itself

You are about half right there, cutting out the fibre, soy and wheat. All these cause gas and bloating and are really bad for the digestive system. Exercise those stomach muscles to hold your guts in place and do drink plenty of water, plain water, not flavoured or gassy.

Bloaty Bellies

I've been wondering what the hell is wrong with me for years now. I thought it was just the after effects of having a baby 2.5 years ago. I go to the gym 3 times a week, and no amount of exersise gets my stomach flat again. My Husband calls me a pot bellied pig, which does wonders for my confidence. I'm going to try drinking less alcohol, eating less pasta & wheat, and taking laxtives. I drink gallons of water as it is. I'm 28, weigh 7stone12 and I'm 5'6, obviously a bloated stomach sticks out a mile on me. I really don't want to have this hideous problem any more.

Dont knowwhats wrong with me

I recently had intercourse, and thought i was pregenant when I noticed omg im 5 days late so I took 2 test and they both show neative. but im bloated like a mother fugger and i dont know why. then a few days ago me and my b/f had sex again and during intercourse started to bleed. Me thinking it was just my period . A an hour later it stopped. and now Im havent had any other bleeding so im still late, and my stomache looks as if im pregnant, and even if iam its only been about 21/2 weeks since me missed period so why iam i so fat?? Please help loosing my mind cant talk to any one iam to afriad to tell my fam or friends
