Yeah I think the movements, the whistling and the swearing are all symtoms. He said that if he doesn't let the words out, he goes into spasms which make him look like a mentally disabled person, so he'd rather just let it out, and most people accept it as eccentricity.

I'm sure he wouldn't do it if he had a choice. But since he's stuck with it, why not make it an asset?

I disagree. I think it's super interesting from a social studies aspect, seeing how a random group of people thrown together act, who turns out to be alpha, beta and omega, where the individuals boundaries are and so on. A lot of very interesting aspects to study, actually.
