I have never personally experianced being a surrogate, but my mum had her womb removed after having a prolapse and one of her best friends offered to have a child for her, using my step dads sperm.
I think its an amazing idea.
My friend was told she was infertile and I offered to carry her child as I knew it was one of the most important things in the world to her. But luckily she fell pregnant and her lil girl is about to turn 1 years old. (And I've recently found out I'm going to have severe problems getting pregnant myself).
If you want to help your friend and think your strong enough to cope with the bonding during pregnany, but then having to give the new born to your friend then I'd say do it. At least you will see the child on a regular basis so you could still have a relationship with the little one.
Ultimatly, its your decision. :)
