I think that people who go to couples therapy really have to want to work at it because usually, by the time you get to that stage, things are pretty bad. When I split up from my ex, I wouldn't have dreamt of seeking couples' therapy because I didn't actually WANT to resolve the problems. I just knew we were wrong for each other. Surely couples' therapy can just delay the inevitable can't it?
