i have a daughter who is nearly 8 but due to myself and my husband being 5 ft 10 and 6 ft respectively we have nurtured a tall- for- her- age child who has the appearance of a ten year old! I have gone as far as having her checked out by a paediatric team to make sure that she is not too tall or too big as she is not of small stature but in proportion of her height. Having worried about the obvious difference in size to her peers I am now concentrating on a positive approach- I tell her about how lucky she is to be nice and tall and that she will be able to help all the short people reach things off the top shelf in the supermarket! getting back to the subject of ideal weights- I can say from my own experiences that this is difficult to determine as the breeding has a lot to do with the outcomes!
