I don't find virginity to be such an attractive quality. Virgins have the problem of not knowing what they're doing. It doesn't mean I WOULDN'T get with a virgin, (Some girls are just that awesome) but in terms of sex, it's much easier with someone who is not.

The most attractive thing about a virgin to most men is the simple fact that he,s the first. Men like that sort of thing, it appeals to our vanity.

Complicated answer

Well, it isn't vanity necessarily. While it is wonderful to have an experienced woman because she knows what to do and you can get down to it and have fun, with a clean slate, so to speak, you are able to teach her what you like and how to do it. And, I must say, it goes both ways. The gal who took my virginity tole me she loved the fact that I knew nothing and she instructed me how to go down on her just how she liked it and how she liked to have sex.

As crudely alluded to in a previous response, it can be difficlut to gain passage, and can be very frustrating, especially with the ones whose hymen takes several sessions to open up enough so she can enjoy it without the pain, sometimes bleeding, and soreness afterward. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I hear you guys saying "why should I care", but it is important because you set the tone for her sex life going forward, whether it is with you or with others, and if she has difficult first experiences, she may become less enthusiastic in the future.

well, virgins are prized when you're quite young. i agree with kinghelfer that it is the vanity of a lot of young guys that they want to pop the cherry. they prize the girls who are fresh and "unspoiled". by the time you hit your mid twenties, you can forget about it. you will likely never meet a virgin in a sexual context. at this point the vanity shifts: most men prize the woman with the least number of lovers. but they want her to be experienced as well--it makes things more interesting. (note: some women are naturally very good at sex, regardless of exerience) of course, i have generalized the ambitions of men.

unfortunately, most men are not as philosophical or nurturing as BRD. but i agree that a girl's first lover can have a profound effect on her future likes/dislikes/insecurities/etc. many girls also immediately develop an unusually strong emotional attachment (love?) to their first. so guys should be prepared for that.
