You are welcome.

Even those who don't support the war (And there are many of us) see a difference between supporting the politicians in their safe little offices, and supporting the lads who are putting their asses on the line out there. Damn right too.

Take it easy in action.

Support

Postby Angelkyd » Tue Jun 21, 2005 8:20 am

Thanks Military for serving. I served for 10 years and got out last summer. I know how much it meant to me to hear support from the civilian world. Now its my turn as a civilian to repay the favor. Many will never truely understand the sacrifices you make on a daily basis. However, know that those of us who still know think about you guys every day. My prayers and best wishes go out to all of you still out there in the sand.

Make it back in 1 piece brothers and sisters.

MILITARY

Postby Guest » Tue Jun 21, 2005 10:26 am

I'm a female fighting for freedom here in Iraq. It's sad seeing all these people begging for another chance to start over. I have gone out to the places where a lot of them live and I can't believe how we sometimes take for granted the things we have. These kids wanted some shoes to be able to walk in. So their feet wouldn't get burnt by the hot ground. It brought tears to my eyes how they live under a blanket in the middle of the desert.

I just ask that we look around and appreciate each other because other people are in much needed help. Like I said thank you to everyone out there who shows support. If any one wants to write and give a positive word I'm in South of IRAQ. I have been here for 4 months and I have 2 1/2 months left. My address is

Cindy Huerta

APO, AP 09331

THANKS EVERYONE I couldn't do it by myself

Please excuse the above poster, she just adds anything that comes into her mind in order to post as many messages as she can. Clearly in this instance
mmmmm?
was about as articulate and informed as she could manage (par for the course really).

I have no way of knowing if your contributions to this thread are genuine or not - but, despite any view I might have on the legitimacy or morality of the conflict, I would never make any comment that denegrated the great work and tremendous sacrifices made by people from all nations drawn into the conflict and its aftermath.

I can only apologise for the ignorance of the poster known as Joanna, and hope she has the decency to reflect on her annoying tactic of posting any old drivel into a thread - particularly given the offence it is likely to cause here.

Best wishes

Hmmmmmm Curious, and I thought you two had a truce?

Will there ever be peace between you two?

Off topic Lexi, I was merely commenting on what, in my view, was a pretty distasteful message - the fact that it was Joanna had nothing to do with my view - I would have said the same of anyone denegrating those caught up in the Iraq conflict.

Hello everyone
The message I posted about the military is true. I wouldn't try to scan anyone. I went out on a mission yesterday and I gave food and water to needy famalies. The feeling was amazing and undescribable. Seeing the faces of these kids light up as I handed them toys and shoes was sad and priviledge at the same time. I'm glad I can be a part of that.

I served in WW2....yes, I am THAT old. It was not a pleasant experience then and since those times, warfare has become worse.
Good luck and God Bless all those who serve us all

how come there are so many tightasses about the limitations of thought within a given thread? does FF follow robert's rules of order?

and whatever you think, LLA, it's tedious to hear the constant sniping.

Thank you for that informed and constructive comment, far removed from the intent of this thread. I bow to your superiority and commend you to the masses.

Here's a no-quibble guarantee to every member of our armed forces serving in Iraq and in other parts of the world:

We're proud of you. Some of us have our differences with the politicians who sent you there but we're still proud of each and every one of you.
