waste of space

Postby femaleadmin on Sun Sep 07, 2008 9:54 pm

The current England football team was named the Biggest Waste of Space Ever.

Wayne Rooney and Co's humiliating failure to qualify for Euro 2008 and abject displays since saw them beat junkie rocker Pete Doherty to claim the unwanted title.

Steve McClaren's multi-millionaires needed just a point from their last group game against Croatia to secure their place in Austria and Switzerland.

But the shameful 3-2 defeat led to McClaren's sacking and left footy fans licking their wounds.

Third in the poll of 3,000 British blokes was beleaguered Prime Minister Gordon Brown - who is blamed for the current credit crunch, rising fuel and food prices and house market crash.

A spokesman for storage product specialists which carried out the poll, said: ''The country was so disappointed let down when England failed to qualify for the Euro 2008 finals.

''We aren't surprised by Gordon Brown's high entry either.

''British citizens have lost trust in his government and his constant dithering coupled with policy u-turns have made his tenure at the top an uncomfortable experience.

''We conducted the survey to find out what people deemed a waste of space.

''As storage product specialists we try to minimise the floor space wasted by businesses across the UK - but there's not a lot we can do about the England team or Gordon Brown.''

Toilet roll covers were voted in fourth while former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona, who was recently declared bankrupt, came in at number five.

The Eurovision Song Contest, which usually sees the UK languishing near the bottom of the table, came sixth, followed by glamour girl Jodie Marsh.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson came eighth, with heiress Paris Hilton at number nine and salads sold by fast food chain McDonalds completing the top ten.

Other celebrities to feature in the poll, include 19-year-old Peaches Geldolf, at number 15, who shocked the nation by marrying singer Max Drummey, just weeks after meeting him.

Pop Star flops The Cheeky Girls are at number 17 while GMTV Host Fiona Phillips, who has just announced she is quitting her job on the sofa, is at number 30.
