No, not in the way alot of these male maids are.
Too many are just into the ott, pantomime affair almost, maid dresses. They actually seem to care more about the silly maid dress now made and aimed at crossdressers... how wide it sticks out with frills everywhere, than actually being a like a proper maid - a real maid, working properly with a functional dress code in a hotel or for a rich house owner. It is very much fantasy dressup playing for them....does not make them an actual maid.

My tastes in what i like to wear is very similar to what most feminine women would chose tbh. :shh: pretty skirts and tops from m&s, next, shapely figures, monsoon.... no daft costume shop outfits for me!

if i ever had to behave and perform "maid" duties .. i wouldn't wear a bright pink satin massive maid dress to do the work in

go on...now rip into me like u always do. (i am more normal than u think i am alf, btw). so what if i'm not as masculine as u think i should be.

one reason, i've already had eye "doctors" ruin my eyes with lasik (avoid!). i don't plan to let any more so called "doctors" in this world potentially ruin my body aswell, if it went wrong. and its all very expensive, all the drugs you need, let along the operations. don't know if i'll change my mind in future, but for now...no way.

Besides my feet are too big, and they can't change many things... especially feet! i can get specially made high heels, but can't buy regular pairs in shops :(

steady on alf, it almost appears you are being...almost normal to me here now.

The less invasive medical treatment you have the better, unless it is to remove something like cancer. I'm wearing my Black Isles kilt to work today, although I wore trousers to a site visit in mid Scotland yesterday as you can't wear flame retardant safety overalls over a kilt.

I think the point of this thread was "whether men should be allowed to choose what they wear" rather than what most of them wear at this point in time.
The issue of men wearing skirts was brought up to highlight the fact that there is still a lot of sex discrimination against men in existence.

I agree with you that there is undue discrimination toward men with respect to clothing and and also other issues.

Women are free to wear any clothing of choice but men who choose to wear traditional female style clothing are looked upon as perverts.

Women can freely use the men's public restrooms without any fear of reprisal but what would happen if a man was outed using the women's public restroom?

Women reporters are permitted in men's sports locker rooms even when the men are naked but men reporters are not allowed in the women's locker rooms even if the women are fully clothed. I have even heard of cases where women have changed in the men's locker room and showered in the men's showers along side of the men. What would happen if a man tried to use the women's locker room and shower with women present?

I could site many more examples of sexual discrimination in favor of women and against men. Should men be allowed the same freedoms of choice that women are permitted?

What would happen if all clothing was acceptable for everybody and all public facilities (restrooms, locker rooms, showers, etc) were totally open to everybody? Making all public facilities unisex would certainly reduce construction costs and space requirements and make waiting times equal for everybody.

As far as sex discrimination is concerned.

What would happen if in employment, there was a choice of trousers or skirts (but gender is not stated).

If a man was to wear a smart knee-length black skirt, would he be asked to change, or worse still be dismissed. Could a case for unfair dismissal be warranted (assuming that the employees standard of performance was perfectly acceptable)?
