Because it's a largely incompatible, resource hogging piece of bloatware and when it stuffs up, customers are often screwed because they weren't aware their computer needed a Vista repair disc made from the system when it was new ready for later...and Microsoft has screwed customers by failing to provide a complete Vista install disc with many machines (At the discretion of the computer manufacturer).
This has meant some people have had to fork out hundreds of dollars for a brand new full Vista install disc, even though they've already paid their license when they bought their computer.
ie. Don't buy a computer that doesn't come with a FULL VERSION Vista install disc!!!

Microsoft has already been sued for breaches of trade practices when they made illegal contracts to have Internet Explorer sent out with computers, but no other browser was allowed. (There's more to it than that, but that's all I remember at the moment)

Like I said.. Gates sold Microsoft to the pigs, because it was a dead issue, and he knew it... He used-up the windows-idea, making as much dollars on it as he could, and dumped it for big bucks on the drooling money-eaters... It's like the sheep farmers, laughing their heads off, selling sheep-poop in bags to city folks for their gardens... "Selling shitt to the city", same as "Selling Microsoft to the investors"... Windows is as much dead as Linux has taken the scene... I see in the near future, Microsoft applying for bankruptcy... I give 'em 15 years tops.. then thhhhhht!... "Vista and Cloud" is Microsoft trying to hold up a dying old cow... The only way Microsoft can survive now, is if they start sharing a lot of love with humanity every way possible.. but their money-eating policy won't allow that... They are on their way going to the grave, like a rock falls from the sky... Cash-in your Microsoft stocks while you still can, before it's a penny stock...

I can count at least 30-times that Microsoft updates destroyed a computer's OS, that I was working on for a client, because my IP didn't match-up with the paid owner's EULA... Ran me through a lot of unwarranted grief they did... It'll be Good to see those asshole bastards squirm and die, and rot, all in the same day... Vista is just a "dry-rot crutch".. and XP is just "dried old poop stuck to fancy frilly edsel-panties"... I prefer W2000... It's quick, and easy to clean, simple, and doesn't look like insane people created it...

_____

The Whole reason Microsoft is going-down is because of their EULA security issue... They could have allowed the Public to rob a little.. but they bashed us and bashed us, and continue to suck out every penny they can, that they feel they deserve... The World is in process of rejecting Microsoft the Bully, like folks avoid roadkill skunks...

I hate the roundedness of the buttons in XP, so I changed it all to look like 2000 again. The default XP installation also hides a few buttons, but Tweak UI (From Microsoft) allows us to customise a lot of things making it more usable.

The "I'm a PC" advert. showing in the UK at the moment gets up my nose. Micro$oft up to its old tricks yet again - suggesting that a PC is a computer which runs Windows. No it bloody isn't.

Buy Vista? I don't think so.

Vista crashed like Concordski crashed (TU-122?). The Russians copied the plans for Concorde to make their own SST, although it did fly first it had many bugs, and crashed. Microsoft are not innovators, never have been. They are imitators, they try and copy all the good software out there and then claim it as their own. All microsoft software is bug ridden, bloatware. I never use it unless I really really have to. Did you know microsoft use Unix when they want to do some real development work? My Unix servers have been up for 2 years continuously, they don't need the 3-finger salute every 5 minutes, they don't give stoopid error messages, repeated ad infinitum.
All your poor WIndoze users do yourslef a favour and get a Mac, or a Linux PC, you won't regret it.

Suse 10 at the moment, but probably going to upgrade to Centos 5.2, unless you have any better suggestions.

I have used SuSe, and RedHat, both quite good with good support if needed. Never tried any others

windows is designed by morons for those of you with limited intelligence who are unable to see how bad it really is. Disneyland interface, bloated, buggy. What idiot decided to have that bl00dy stoopid cartoon dog, taking up computer power, no use to man or beast, and those even more stoopid windows with errors keep popping up all over the damn place? Obviously designed for kidz, but no place in a business environment, bosses should be ashamed of themselves for introducing these games consoles into the workplace.

The reason why I would never install Linux is because I would never want to associate myself with someone who has this sort of attitude, I think its a fair trade.

Good, I agree, Linux is for those people who at least have some intelligence to try something better, believe me,, I work in computer support and windoze is the worst piece of software we have ever come across. It is ok for those of limited intelligence of course, you appear to be one of them.

And No, I don't have Linux at home
