Firstyl, what sort of smell is it? If its quite a strong potent off putting smell there could be a chance she has an std, is there also alot of vaginal discharge, another idication if along with the smell there is a std,

I know i always smell quite stronger before a period is due so maybe this is the case with her?

women can buy a special wash for areas like that i think its called femfresh and it does work i would advise her 2 get sum of that

usually bathing everyday, and douching once a week, is enough to take care of any odors. all genitals, male or female, can get a bit smelly if not washed regularly. she can use feminine "wipes" throughout the day to stay fresh, also--they are like baby wipes but formulated differently, and can be carried nicely in a purse or pocket for the most part.

particularly, you should both wash up after sex, as this will keep you both smelling nice & fresh. sex juices can & will grow more pungent the longer they are left, plus a litle together time in the shower afterwards can be fun too if neither of you have the energy to wash up properly after sex, then at least using moist wipes before falling asleep will help alot.

most STD's that cause vaginal odor and discharge have other symptoms, too, but STD tests are also fairly easy to get done and don't cost very much, and are never a bad idea. even a simple yeast infection though, will create a stronger odor than usual.

Actually you will find that it is recommended that soap is not used as it does upset the pH of the vagina.
Special washes can be bought to use.
Most women do use soap until they experience chronic medical problems and then switch to another type of product!
