However since I met someone new we got onto the subject while in bed.
She had stockings on and I asked how would she like me to wear some. She said why not and loved the feel of my legs in them - the fact that she thinks it's 'naughty' gives her an extra thrill.
We both wear stockings and tights in bed most of the time now and love it.

you are so lucke keep wearing them

ure male friend, i totally agree. However these days i wouldn't say pantyhose/tights were " womens" BUT more unisex, and why shouldn't they be?

I have been wearing nylon since childhood. It all started with my aunt who is only a few years older than me and her dressing me up and putting make up on me. I found that I loved the soft feeling of pantyhose and the way they made me feel.

Fast forward to my teenage years. I met a girl who indulged in my fantasy and always wore nylon. Actually, most of the girls in the 80's wore pantyhose. I loved the feeling of rubbing up against her legs. It was purely a fetish from my younger years.

Fast forward to my young adult years. My wife also enjoyed making love in nylon and allowed me to do so from time to time. She enjoyed the same thing that I did. The feeling of nylon against skin.

Now come to the last 5 years. I had been experiencing some pretty painful knee injuries and went through the process of losing a bunch of weight and trying to build up the muscles around my knees. This helped, but I was still experiencing painful evenings and late afternoon as well as some circulatory issues in my legs. I was already shaving my legs since I was a cyclist and I found this to help in a couple ways. It helped in the process of applying sun screen as well as it stopped the little flying insects from getting caught in my hair (pretty gross actually).

My best friend's wife was a doctor and I remember her wearing Hanes Alive support hose for doing surgeries and long days of standing. I figured since I didn't have a problem with wearing nylon since it was already kind of a fetish, that I would give it a try. I figured I had nothing to lose.

All I can say is that they work!!! I have tried other nylon since then, but the Hanes Alive nylon have the MOST support of any hose I have ever tried. My legs felt great after long days of standing and walking or sitting in the office. They also help keep me warm when we go out at nights.

At first, my wife was a little concerned that this was a fetish thing or that it would turn into wanting to wear other items. I assured her that there was nothing erotic about it for me. That it was purely for health reasons (which is true) and that seemed to help. I can truly attest that sliding on the support hose has nothing to do with my love of nylon and everything to do with the benefits my knees feel. They help with my cycling and they help with my work.

I don't know that I feel comfortable trying to make it a public thing, but I do agree that times need to change and that society needs to let go of the notion that pantyhose are only for women. A few people have already commented about the fact that a lot of hosiery companies are marketing to men. The simple fact is that they work and are a huge health benefit. I have a couple people that know that I wear them and the reason I wear them and they are very understanding.

For those of you that are on the fence about the validity of the health benefits. All you have to do is read the back of the packaging and read about it in health magazines. It is not about the fetish. It is about maintaining an active lifestyle and not being beaten down by injury or blood circulation problems.

As much as I respect the changing trends of women's fashion and them steering clear of pantyhose, there are still those that continue to wear them and give hope for their return. I personally don't feel "confined" or "itchy" or any of the other complaints that women have to say about pantyhose. It is all about finding good pairs and buying the right size. I can normally wear a pair for at least 3 months which equates to about 12-18 wearings before I get a single ladder. Even if it is a small ladder, I still toss them since the compression has been compromised.

Lastly (sorry for the long post) I always apply lotion so that it helps in the health of my skin. I think that a lot of people miss out on this benefit. Having healthy skin is just as important. I'm now 40 and I wished that I had taken better care of my legs when I had the chance. I know that I will soon require surgery on my knees. I do know that had I not started wearing support pantyhose a few years ago. I would have already needed the surgery. I have easily bought myself the last 5 years as well as a couple more due to the proactive solution on my part.

So take a chance, don't give in to public opinion, and be bold enough to wear support pantyhose if you need them. Your legs will thank you.

men wearing pantyhose

Tess, you are victim of social opinion & media influence! I bet!

There is NO "reasons" only what is "agreed upon by the majority"

Everything is IMPOSED. All judgment.

In raw real factual objectivity with "social moulding" removed.

There is no such thing as wierd or right or wrong clothing. And both sexes are just creatures who wear things.

WE are the WIERD ones even "wearing" clothes. look at us! the only creatures on the whole planet who wear clothes. "were" the freaks.

Men wearing 'womens' clothes is NOTHING compared to humans "IN" clothes.

jeeeze. louise.

I wouldnt "tell" no-one, but people do know, from gossip at an early age when it "was" happening with me doing it. (wearing them)

So The "history" rumour still is in the background on rare occasion.

Do I give a S***? Hell no.

But I aint no Cd'er or gay, or camp fella. Im just a normal guy.

And I bet I can look more sexy in them than a lot of women can, If Im challenged.

But Like I said. I dont do it, and am here to discuss it cause its interesting and i still not shure about it.

Women wear them cause men LIKE them. or they wouldnt wear them. period.

tights

Postby yafe1 » Mon Jun 23, 2008 4:13 pm

Hi Im another male who loves tights/pantyhose etc,
im not gay, nor do I wear these things a lot, and if so admitedly in the boundries of my own home (Ill get back to that!), In fact some of my mates know this (male and female) and it is strange from the mixed reaction, being very like that I see here on this forum, some people sickened and others not bothered, and in some cases extreamly understanding, FACT IS as far as the MEDIA CONTROLLED SHEEPLE or MASS MAJORITY OF SHEEPLE i.e. collective thought, are concerned yes it is not normal or right! however I did find tights/stockings etc rather an exciting sensation, dependant on style etc, mainly sheer if any, as they do feel good on the legs, and yes have tried other femanine clothing, and even went out in drag for a laugh with half a dozen mates, which was actually a learning curve, in the fact that it soon tought me to respect what women go through trying to feel good and/or please men, it also makes you begin to understand why it is that women tend to be so much more happier dressed up in sexy attire.

To add to this I ended up going out as a goth lady for a laugh, bask stockings leather skirt n black wig etc, and some people couldn't even tell the difference! even my close female friends commented on this (however I still believe it more likely because it was halloween!), anyways after the enitial trying to fool people bit, i just got on with having a laugh, and I tell you somthing it was suprising how many people took it in good chear and had a laugh. And Id had my legs waxed, although partly due to a mate betting me, that if I did hed have a crack wax, well but the time my female friend finished, it was a crack and bollock wax, believe me it was funny, you never heard a bloke scream so loud! hahahaha, sorry evil sense of humor. Any way as my female friend explained to me tights are strange, more so on the legs once theve been waxed, which I found to be true, and admittedly rather pleaserable.

Point is to those that think like the colective sheeple, as a couple of the comments have stated on this site, cloths Arent normal, and we are the only spiecies on the planet to wear them, they where created by us, and not natural to us, and as some other coments have stated that lets bear in mind that tights orrigionally where created with men in mind, only later to be excepted as the female norme towards the latter 19th century, and from one vid I saw on you tube, it was actually a case that tights on women where classed as a no go before being an accepted idea, and women in those days were actually seen as whores. WELL LETS JUST HANG FIRE A SECOND, and look at this cos what Ive seen from a couple of the comments in this topic, it seems like the reverse is happening, Women are now saying that men must be gay/nickersniffers/pervy, thats funny cos that comes accross to me as female shovanism (for want of better words and/or if thats how you spell it?).

tights/pantyhose serve no real perpose (other than warmth/ballet dancing) than in aid of pleasure and sensation, and when it comes to do have other uses all be it tempary measures (like a broken fanbelt replacement!), im just takein the micky now!

I dont think it wrong for men as I do myself, to pleasure themselfs (not always in an errotic mannor), and I do love women in tights/pantyhose, and other sexy underware, and seek female companionship, but at present on my own, but that has nothing to do with liking tights (as I am open about it), its merely cos of certain attitudes that also seem to dictate that men should be a certain way (like depicted in TV Soaps, glossy mags, by those who think they know all.), and unfortunatly the culture in which we live is mind swollowed into being "sheeple" , so when you get blokes that up for a play or somthing different, or just plain kind in nature, women are tought to believe they must be wierd/pervy/gay or believe that a bloke should be a b***** and that hes not right for them if he is nice, which is another thing I find amuzing. DONT GET ME WRONG GIRLS Im not saying your all like this, Im merely explaining what could be said for our side in certain cercumbstances, that we are all lead to believe theres a right and wrong way of being.

Im a musician/singer songwriter and artist (painter/drawer), as well as some one who has looked at life from every possible angle i.e many types jobs, even in RAF cadets as a teenager experiencing ARMY NAVY and AIRFORCE life and thinking, and college, and for those reading this, this is for one reason, the same reason we all ask questions, to find answers, NOT FROM THE SOCALLED KNOWLEDGE OF OTHERS WHO CLAIM THEY KNOW, BUT FOR MYSELF, and to be able to help others, via my art and music where possible. I mean lets face it we are on the brink of WW3, especially if Brown and Bush dont buck up,... so what does a little pleasure (in where and what ever you like) matter, I dont see the big deal, If you like wearing tights/pantyhose then ware them, if you like to use them to get yourself off at night what the hell, and if women are up for it even better, I like the idea of man and women wearing them together, often thought about that, cause that would be my dream woman! oh well maybe one day! and if not at least I have somthing to pleasure myself with, better that than going completely barmy... especialy in light of the fact I become two agressive without some form of femanine control, hense the reason I will pleasure myself in such a monor, and if your single why should it matter how you go about it.

 i am straight and i sometimes wear the oppaque ones when its cold, but they feel comfortable and right, people that just come onto sites like this and say something like its wrong and abnormal are obviously not intelligent enough to hold an appropriate coversation.

They probably have always wanted to wear them but think its too macho to do so.......muppets!!! wear what ya want, live how ya want and take no nottice of small minded people thats what i say, afterall its men that they were mainly invented for in the first place back in the late medieval times :D

i like tights :)

Postby Simon_1 » Wed Jun 25, 2008 2:27 am

I am a 31 year old man and straight. I like and do occassionaly wearing tights. i am really suprised from the possitive views from women and men on this post. I fail to see why tights have to be a female only garment. Is just another garment and nothing more. I do wear them under my trousers and sometimes even with shorts. I haven't tried male tights yet but i find the female ones fine for me.

Just “surfed in” from Google looking for something else.

Back in a previous life with my now ex-wife, I use to make an occasional snide remark about pantyhose then one day I learned a life changing lesson.

I use to bicycle 2,000+ miles per year I still do a few hundred. During one of my rides I was on a fast down hill descent, I went into a corner and come out of it on the pavement through gravel I went down at aprox 22-25mph (OUCH, with other more colorful adjectives deleted). No broken bones, what caused the crash was a broken top tube on the bicycle. I lost a lot of skin, besides the pain of the crash, broken bicycle; you should have heard the wife!!!! :( :!:

Well my right side looked like I was hit with birdshot. My wife could not even stay in the bathroom while I was putting on all the bandages. The first Monday at work was pure torture the pants rubbed everything and everything screamed in pain. I knew that I had to protect the sores from the pants. So I summoned up some courage and ask my ex-wife if she had any tights I could wear. We were about the same size. She did and that’s when I discovered pantyhose had socially redeeming value.

This could have been a really good bonding between us unfortunately I had my head up my ass and had problems with this mental image that men do not wear pantyhose it’s a “girrlly” thing. So yet another opportunity was missed.

Flash forward 17 years I was given the opportunity to extract my head from my ass. Now I have a drawer full of pantyhose. They do have a purpose in life. Most recently I came home from a plane trip and my legs ACHED really bad I pulled out pair of “graduated compression pantyhose - GCP” and wore them for a week the leg pains went away, so I stopped then one Monday at work I got up from my desk and almost had to sit down again my knees hurt so bad, back into the GCP I now wear them after any heavy exercise and while at work so at least 50% of the time. Google "graduated compression pantyhose", check out; http://www.legluxe.com/index.php?cat=126 they look pretty sexy to me!!

Along the way I also learned about kilts the Scottish one’s and then the Utilikits. I gave up on the Scottish kilts as soon as I found Utilikilts. Since then I also figured out on a hot day even Utilikilts can be to hot. So I now have some plain lightweight skirts for hot weather. May be I might go back to shorts & PH for some occasions.

The very first time I wore a Utilikilt to work was for Halloween as part of the costume were bright red tights and turtle neck, black Utillikit. The very first comment from the first woman that saw me was “I hate you” huuugh? “you have better legs than I do!” (2,000 miles a year on a bicycle will do that.)

I like the look and feel of high quality hosiery, when wearing a skirt, Utilikilt even shorts; the hosiery lends a finishing touch that just makes the whole outfit look better.

For those who complain about fit and comfort - dump the grocery store brands and go buy some that are your size, ask for help if you need it.

Oh yes I have been removing hair from legs for many years now.
