Women wearing pants

Postby Kelly-girl on Wed Apr 18, 2007 1:26 pm

While I do wear dresses or skirts I almost always wear jeans and a T shirt. I'm just too country girl to wear a dress all the time. Sometimes a dress is the right thing to wear such as going to somewhere nice or to a wedding or the like. Other times give me my jeans.

I hardly ever wear a dress these days, only to a formal event such as a dinner/dance or wedding. For work I always wear trousers. I sometimes wear a skirt for casualwear.

I can't say I like the look of a man in womens clothing and even a kilt, as mentioned in an earlier posting, looks a bit odd.

I really think that on an in-shape lady, form-fitting dress slacks - in a heavier fabric that are neatly creased and look like they could stand up on their own - are sexier than any skirt. Especially when they are paired with 4-inch high heels and hemmed long so they almost touch the floor. Good grief that look stops me in my tracks!

Tell him he is wrong...... both trousers and skirts can and are worn by men and women. My boyfriend and I frequently dress alike........ sometimes wearing trousers and more often wearing skirts. Neither of us is transvestite, gay, or any of the other labels....... just two fun loving people who enjoy our comfort, freedom and being together. I am very much a woman and he very much a man......... we both have very large boobs naturally, so both must wear bras.... and he has very shapely legs for a guy, but every bit a man.

Tell him to forget about other people's labels and expectations and start enjoying life.

Good point kristie.
If one gender wants a full choice of types of clothing, then both genders should be free to express themselves in the way they dress.
It is wrong to give complete freedom to one gender and straight-jacket the other.

You are right, guys do wear skirts, but far too many of them wear them in private or at costume parties or other events where they think it will be accepted. Just as women do, guys can wear anything they choose to; but most men are too chickenshit to be themselves. Instead, while claiming to be big, brave and strong, they follow like sheep to the tune of whatever song they are played.

Skirts for men will only catch on when men become as brave, strong, determined, and self confident as women are. Women are not afraid to speak and act on whatever is on their minds. One of the many side effects of that is women can wear whatever they choose. Men basically are cowards who lack self confidence, and only gain their confidence and strength by what other men and women tell them and dictate to them. One of the many side effects is that regardless of what a man truly wants to wear and would be comfortable wearing, he wears what he is told to wear because he is afraid of other people and what they might say or do. Men like to claim they are the stronger and braver sex, but in reality they are weaklings and followers who do exactly what is expected of them. While that may not have been the case in days of old, clearly today women are the stronger, braver, bolder, and more confident sex, and are enjoying the benefits.

There is nothing more comfortable than wearing a skirt or dress on a hot day or evening or to an event where the air gets hot and stuffy because of a lot of people for the space provided.

Men, be as brave, bold, and self confident as women; forget about what you think other people expect and demand; be your own person, and make yourself happy and comfortable; start wearing whatever you believe you will be comfortable in now, and stop waiting for some one else to start the trend so you can wear it without fear. Gain the power and freedom of women.

Of course skirt and dress wearing does not come by itself. Hairly legs look horrible in a skirt, dress, shorts, or any other style exposing one's legs. So men, if you are going to become man enough to start wearing skirts, don't forget to shave your legs. When is the last time you saw a woman in a skirt or dress with hairly legs? And guys, not all women like to shave our legs. Chose whatever style you are comfortable with, but whatever you choose, wear it with class and style (do not cheapen it).

I completely agree, wear whatever is comfortable to YOU, what YOU like, what YOU think looks good on you. Trousers, skirts, dresses, shorts, or whatever are just articles of clothing. If you prefer trousers or pants, that is what you should wear, and if you change your mind on any given day, wear the clothing you choose.

I prefer skirts and dresses, and for me there is nothing more comfortable than wearing a skirt or dress on a hot or warm day or evening. When the weather gets colder, or an event makes it more practical, I add jeans or other pants, but I find the most comfort in a skirt or dress. For casual or kicking around, I like denim skirts - for hot summer days I like a sun dress - and so many other styles for other events. I do not surrender to pants, jeans and trousers unless I really have to. But that does not make it right for other people.

Of course skirt and dress wearing does not come by itself. Hairly legs look horrible in a skirt, dress, shorts, or any other style exposing one's legs. So if you are going to chose wearing skirts, dresses, shorts, or any other style exposing your legs don't forget to shave your legs. You should also consider tanning your legs, or adding stockings or pantyhose for more dressy occassions.

Whatever you choose, be comfortable, confident, and happy with yourself. It is only clothing, and no one has the right to tell others what or what not to wear.

I like my kilts. I wear them most of the time at weekends and occasionally to work in the week.
I never try to control what my wife wears. I believe in freedom in clothing for all.
God bless from Colin.

What I think ?
Your boyfriend is obviously an idiot - he doesn't have a clue.

1. A Transvestite is not simply a "man in a skirt" - it is actually a person who wants to dress themselves up so as to imitate the opposite gender - sometimes in a flattering way, often as a sendup and exaggeration...

2. Not all men in skirts are "transvestites" - on the contrary, transvestites and transexuals actually seem to be only small sub-groups of the total men wearing kilts and skirt-like garments..

3. There is nothing gay about men wearing skirts, either, despite some people's warped and misguided views - the number of homosexual men who wear skirts is supposedly a lot smaller (% wise..) than the total proportion of men around the world who are - regularly and occasionally - wearing some form of skirt like garments.

If men can wear skirts, I believe women should be able to wear pants/trousers/shorts whenever and wherever they like - if they want to go nude in public, I will wholeheartedly support that desire as well..
