Women wearing trousers

Postby VanessaEvans on Tue Oct 31, 2006 9:04 pm

Sometimes my bf says that girls in trousers are not at all feminine. He says that if a man in a skirt is called a transvestite then a woman in trousers is also a transvestite.

What do you think?

maybe but trousers aren't really associated with gender whereas skirts are thought of as being for females

What a load of rubbish. Men still wear kilts, and that looks good when done well. Greeks. Romans. No none would say they didn't look manly. Anyway, women look better in pants than men do. Sorry guys, but they do. (Perhaps that's just me!) Women have beautiful bodies, and I love the way they look in form fitting pants. I like wearing tight jeans myslef, but women look so good in them. Though, I see so many young women wearing jeans that are so tight that with each step when they walk, it shifts their balance and they wobble. Or the seams of the pants are so tight that they make your butt look flat or even look round, hiding your form. A perfectly fitting pair of pants can look like a second skin, and if a tiny bit tighter in some spots and looser in others it doesn't matter, it can still make you look so sexy, highlighting your assets. Don't listen to him. Your looking good. Wear what you want.

I think women have been wearing trousers for so long now, that it's time he got used to it. Sometimes skirts just are not convenient, especially in the winter time. And if a guy wants to wear a skirt, that's fine by me.

I've worn a kilt. It felt quite good, and people said I looked good in it. Heavy things. I was out on a hike on holidays once with my g/f, in a relatively remote spot, and came across this guy who was wearing a skirt. It was made of a light weight material with a pattern (can't remember, floral perhaps). It didn't have any frills or anything but seemed to swish around the place as he walked, and moved in the slightest breeze. (He stopped and talked, said hello etc, as people might do when your out in the middle of nowhere). It was hard not to stare. He looked terrible in it. When out of earshot, we looked at each other, couldn't help ourselves, and burst out laughing. If any guys out there are contemplating wearing a skirt - don't.

It really looked wrong! Perhaps, if this is to be a new fashion, men could wear a particular style designed for them. But this guy, in loose, light weight skirt, looked so out of place.

Its funny that women can look so good wearing men's clothes, but it doesn't really work the other way around. Not nearly as well. Women simply have bodies that make them look good in men or women's clothes. Curves, perhaps the elegance ove movement, but then women have had a whole fashion thing going on for years. I think men's fashion is a bit more conservative.

women wearing trousers

Postby petticoatfriend on Fri Nov 10, 2006 1:11 am

I am wearing skirts and dresses at home, with a casual, feminine outfit, leaving the trousers to my wife. In past I liked a more feminine type of women, concerning clothes, but meanwhile I have got used to women in trousers. And my wife got used to see me in skirts. However, out of the house we are not practising that kind of role play, with very few exceptions.

Althougt I like more wearing skirts and think I look better in them, sometimes it's more convenient to wear trousers, especially in the winter time as you said Dee25. Actually, sometimes it's enjoyable to put on a nice pair of well-fitting pants for a change. I like to go with short coat and plaid trousers and let the checks make my bum look its best. That's something you can't do with a skirt!
And my husband.. he loves it too! :D
