Coming from a guy with a very small penis, 1inch soft, 3 and half hard. I don't know the width, I've never taken the time to measure it, but I'd say the width is pretty average.

Size definitely does matter, but not to the fact of verbal confrontation. I've been told that I've had a small penis, however, not before, during or immediately after having sex with a girl. Well, from my experience I would have to say that women tend to over estimate on size when looking at a penis. I say this because I have had women see me and say 'wow' and then ask 'what are you 9-10 in.?' In reality I am 7in in length and 6.25 in girth fully erect and have had no complaints even from a size queen who said I had her very sore. Most women do tend to have poor spacial awareness and sense of sizes - and this often shows in them having poor notions of actual lengths and distances - just ask a woman to hold her hands about 8"/20.32 cm apart and then measure it. It will probably be more like 5 - 6" in reality !!!
